From a CNN interview referenced by rawstory.com:

“If you want to go way back, we can look at the troop surge. And after 2007, al Qaeda was essentially in ashes,” she explained. “It was Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who then destroyed the entire rollout by wanting to pull out early, announcing their plans, ignoring intelligence and that’s the reason why ISIS is a global issue and not a –”

Blackwell then interrupted her, “Barack Obama in 2004, is that what you said?”

“No,” she replied. “I said afterwards. After the surge when al Qaeda was in ashes. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — remember we weren’t even in Afghanistan by this time. Barack Obama went into Afghanistan creating another problem. It was Hillary Clinton and her incidents in Libya. They armed the rebels and funded them.”

A puzzled Blackwell then stopped Pierson again.

You’re saying Barack Obama took the country into Afghanistan post-2009. Is that what you’re saying?

Pierson paused before replying, “Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — that was Obama’s war, yes.

Yep, that's about right.

The part in the video on voting is also an excellent soundtrack to go insane to.

Obama knew that by then it was his war. He had actually said as much and a SoS owns any war the country is in, when she joins but doesn't end. Of course, contrary to Obama 2007 was earlier than she had taken possession

Right, because we weren't even in Afghanistan by that time.

I feel sorry for you. Please tell me you're at least getting paid for this.

I saw her on CNN several days ago where she made a complete fool of her self and literally could not debate outside of her talking points, which fell apart leaving her nothing to discuss. It was pretty pitiful. So much for Trump surrounding himself with the best people.

This is what happens when a PR stunt turns into a Presidential run.

Was that when she was saying that Obama and Clinton were responsible for Captain Khan's death (in 2004)?

No, but there were two recent incidents I've seen of her during the last week on CNN.

One was discussing the economy and Brexit going up against Ali Velshi (with Don Lemon moderating, if I recall). Veshi is one sharp cookie, and nicely assertive. He literally destroyed her without seeming too aggressive, and he did not let her off the hook but rather nailed her by stating historical and factual background around her talking points, losing her in the process, and then doing it again anytime she fired-off a hollow talking point. After providing background and context he would ask her to clarify her position, and it was clear she had no idea what he had just stated! Because she really didn't know the meaning or context of her talking points beyond parroting the words.

She also got lost the other day going against a large CNN panel of maybe 5 or 6. She's just totally inadequate for prime time. She throws out non-sequitur generic talking points, then dies trying to defend them to those with a superior grasp of the facts (which is seemingly everyone). At times after spouting off a talking point, it's found upon questioning that she doesn't even know the meaning of what she just said. The difference between her and the rest of the panel was startling.

Also, the moderator in the OP video in this thread was way too easy on her - IMO.

I really am seriously starting to believe this Presidential run was a PR stunt that gained traction.

ISIS was created by George Bush when he didn't have troop surge right away and make the Iraqis behave before rendering them any oil revenue.

Then the Arab spring Nations would have a nice Democracy to follow.

Did you read what I posted? Look again at this particular section:

The point of the OP was that Trump's spokeswoman claimed that Obama was the one who took us INTO Afghanistan.

Wanna try again?

He can't even a point competent people to his campaign. Why do we assume this will change if he becomes President?

The USA has been fighting in Afghanistan since terrorists based there attacked the USA on 9/11.

Anyone who denies that is blind to reality.

What? What do you mean what? You don't give them back their oil, you say, "Behave, if so many killings, attacks against our Troops then no oil revenue, we use revenue to pay for war. Then Iraqi leaders have incentive to get things in order, to find solutions.

It was not a mistake to start war, this was just a mistake along the way.

Soon we will have Hillary Clinton who voted for the war instead of Obama who thinks the war was a mistake.

It was also a mistake to cite weapons of mass destruction in their prosecution of the war, instead you prosecute on non-compliance and humanitarian reasons. Then you don't have to worry about looking like an ass when they don't find any WMDs.

He can't even a point competent people to his campaign. Why do we assume this will change if he becomes President?

He appointed a Conservative Christian for his VP.

Iraq had WMDs though.....

The idea that George Bush created ISIS is ridiculous.

Bush did not create anything, God created him.

No more ridiculous than Obama.

Obama would never intend for Arab spring where our allies like the Egyptian dictator are deposed and dangerous conditions leave events like Benghazi to follow in the wake of 9-11 that we blame on Bush.

But it's eight o'clock at night in Chicago and the UP so you've said nothing and must be you playing the game.

Ok then, Bush created ISIS.
