Can some trump supporter here give me any actual evidence that Trump loves the military, besides the fact that he says so? Trumpsters always say don't listen to Trumps words, follow his actions. Well here are his military actions as of late:

  • He has fired all of his top generals who said they were going to do a great job.
  • He also fired them and pulled security clearances of others because he can't take constructive criticism.
  • He constantly attacks other 4-star generals after they criticize him even if they didn't work for him
  • He has not given the money to veteran charities and only gave some of it when the media exposed it
  • He put someone as corrupt or maybe more corrupt than him in charge of the VA and vets are literally dying now b/c of its budgetary concerns and the fact that it is understaffed and practically gutted.
  • He constantly praises dictators
  • He wants to waste taxpayer $$$ on a useless military parade to praise himself for doing nothing
  • He couldn't be bothered to visit troops in Paris or in the field until the media exposed him for it
  • He constantly attacks gold star families and prisoners of war
  • He uses the troops for political gain (signing hats) and useless caravan defenses
  • He lies to them about their raises.
  • And also lied about the fact that they are all going home.

So how does making fun of the military = loving it???

Sorry, can't help you here, LOL.
My wife's VA comp and pen has been reduced, after Trump's long winded speeches about taking care of our disabled vets.

The only thing the narcissist and chief loves is himself.

You left out his traveling to France to meet with Macron and not attending the Armistice Day ceremony with the other allied heads of state who were also there. He also skipped visiting Arlington Cemetery for Memorial Day.

As with pretty much everything else, Trump "love" and respect for the military/veterans is "all hat and no cattle."

Trump loves using the military as a show of his power as CinC.

Maybe your prejudice is your problem.

Pretty much what I would expect, considering the name they are using in here.

If somebody has a name that is blatantly pro or anti something, there is no way that rational thought and objectivity can be expected from them. In other words, this is nothing but an obvious political Trump-bashing post, which is really more appropriate in the Political section than it is here.

And BTW, Generals really can't be "fired" by the President. They are nominated by him, but appointed by Congress. And he can only relieve them from their position for cause, but not actually "fire" them. Such as when General McChrystal was relieved as the Commanding General of the ISAF in Afghanistan after remarks he made of President Obama became public. He was called to Washington after that fiasco, where it is generally accepted that he was "ordered" to resign. Which he did, and promptly retired.

No President had the power or authority to actually "fire" a military General. At most they can order them relieved of their command (such as Truman and MacArthur), but it has to be for a valid reason (at which point most Generals resign from the service). Because the President would be fighting against both the Department of Defense and Congress if he tried to do so without reason. And without a valid reason, Congress can literally override the removal with a simple majority vote reconfirming their appointment.

And of course this is generally not needed at all. All senior Generals (3 or 4 stars) only hold their rank for a set period of time to fulfil the position they are in. A 4 star General is only a 4 star when he or she is in the position that requires that rank. And once their tour of that position is finished, they need to move into another one that needs that rank, reduce to a lower rank to stay in longer, or they are automatically retired. So in most cases a President san simply wait out their period of appointment then not give them another one. Presidents serve for 4-8 years, most Generals only serve 2 years in any one position.

Just like any other high official, the President appoints, Congress affirms.

I can only think that the author of this assumes that the Attorney General and Surgeon General are actual Generals.

I feel like maybe you quoted the wrong person, however this is a quality post.

Nope, I am agreeing with your statement that prejudice is his problem, and was going into detail as to what that prejudice actually was.

And prejudice also commonly follows lack of understanding, comprehension, or facts. Which is what I was outlining in detail. he claimed the President fired generals. That was prejudice on his part, since the President really does not have that power in the first place.

Trump nor the GOP give a damn about the military.

You will have go research the MILITARY/POTUS chain of command, and how congress comes into the picture before you make another ignorant post like this one.

Putting it in quotation marks doesn’t change the fact that McCrystal was fired/relieved/retired because President Obama or a senior official made it happen.

Brush up on your semantics and abductive reasoning..........

So much nonsense in your post...so much work to kick that nonsense to the curb where it belongs. I really don't have the inclination nor the time to do that. Instead, I'll just slap you upside the head with one of your stupid remarks:

"He constantly attacks other 4-star generals after they criticize him even if they didn't work for him"

If a "4-star general" doesn't work for the President, he no longer represents the military. He's now nothing more than a private citizen with an opinion. If he attacks the President with his opinion, he is fair game to receive attacks from the President (or anyone else who doesn't agree with the opinion). By responding to these attacks by a past general, Trump is not saying anything against, nor is he acting against, the military. He is saying something against a private citizen.

Speaking out against a private citizen who attacks him is not a military action by Trump.

Enjoy your beatdown, NeverTrumpGOP, I'm moving on...

Sorry. That's not evidence he likes or supports the military.

Haha when has Jordan Peterson ever done that??? Also Sorry. That's not evidence trump likes or supports the military.

Of course it's not. You presented a list of nonsense that you think shows that Trump doesn't support the military. I simply slapped you upside the head with your nonsense.

Tell me...am I wrong? If so...why?

If you can't tell me why, then accept your beatdown like a man and move on.

You didn't disprove any of my post and you didn't even provide the evidence I was looking for. Sounds like you can't handle the truth. Otherwise there would be baskets full of evidence of Trump supporting the military

Trump nor the GOP give a damn about the military.

Hey that's not fair. They use the military to prop up their false support of the USA, to prop up sham companies and terrible products, and to prop up the non-existent wall!!
