trump press briefing failure, although he can't stop himself

trump's blabbers red meat, spins tales and attacks opponents at rallies, where followers will cheer anything he says. I can imagine a ruckus crowd where trump yells lock her up, lock her up, the crowd cheers then trump yells all of you here suck and then cheering just to cheer their crazy leader, they continue to cheer.

trump due to his narcissistic personality flaw, the dimwit thinks blabbering, promoting himself, attacking others, and spinning tales at daily press briefings would be a good personal recipe for his political success.

trump's problem: Press briefings are watched by most Americans, not just 39% blind followers. the other 60% some totally understand his incompetence, others take trump with a grain of salt.

As trump provides daily evidence of his chaotic incompetence all Americans and the world are watching.

trump says one thing from out of his crazy head and within 24 hours he is disputed by experts. Or facts come out and Americans say to each other: What the hell was trump talking about yesterday? Facts are much different then what he said.

His vocabulary appears to have not progressed beyond 6th grade level. His attacking the press, makes trump look like he has not developed beyond a high school bully mentality.

As trump goes on and on daily, opponents that recognized trump's lying incompetence are vindicated.

Those Americans on the fence about trump are now realizing opponents are correct about trump.

Trumpians are having difficulty defending trump. Trumpians are left with going down the road paved by trump, using deflection by attacking someone else, anyone, as a the last trump defense.

The good news for our country, American people have tuned trump out, and now listen to experts only at briefings, also tuning into local and state government news releases.

trump, well he continues to make the case daily that: He is completely over his head and does not possess the ability to lead a nation.

This OP is not hate (I'm sure a defender will try that b.s. reponse tactic), I never, listen closely, never hate anyone, that is a complete waste of my emotions.

This OP is my opinion on what trump has displayed, said, acted like and observation of his chaos.

Well, maybe he'll do better in his 2nd term.

Trump is an idiot.

What idiot doesn't know that by now.

It must be why the left wing media is refusing to broadcast his updates; because they are damaging him so badly.

I heard some only cut to the update when the medics are on, avoiding the rambling disinformation part as far as possible.

Myself, I can't wait to read the book that Dr. Fauci is going to inevitably write about his time working on this pandemic.

If one is honest, one would realize Trump's first few pressers did help him. For the first time during his entire presidency his overall disapproval numbers dropped below 50%. From 53% disapproval down to 49% disapproval. His approval ratings rose from 44% up to 47% going by RCP averages and not just one poll. His 47% approval rating was his highest ever.

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - President Trump Job Approval

Those numbers rose after his first few pressers mainly because Trump was acting presidential. Republicans and Democrats didn't change their view of him, but independents did rising up to 49% approval 42% disapproval. Then Trump went back to being Trump, creating needless feuds, calling other names, reverted back to being a schoolyard bully, acting unpresidential. His numbers are dropping especially among independents when averaging them all together, down to 47/44 approval/disapproval. I expect them to keep falling as Trump has reverted to his obnoxious self.

Trump's handling of the CoronaVirus is also dropping. From a high of 51/45 approval/disapproval after his first few press conferences down to 48/47 approval/disapproval.

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Public Approval of President Trump's Handling of the Coronavirus

Again I attribute this to Trump reverting to being Trump. Again it isn't the Republicans or Democrats that changed their views on Trump's handling of this pandemic. They remained steady. It's once again independents. I think if Trump had remained presidential he could have garnered strong independent support for his actions. The opportunity was there. But Trump can't help himself.

who would have ever guessed that there are folks out there regardless of political party, the non-affiliated with either party that actually expect a president to act presidential. Who would have thought? That something as small as behavior/personality, one's distasteful persona would become the deciding factor come November.

I agree mostly, Yes Presidential early on, but fraught with mis-information. It takes time for research and the actual facts to come out. So Trump's initial statements could only be taken at face value, then his mis-information unraveled.

Unfortunately for trump the facts began to roll out. Feeling his political life in jeopardy, trump capitulated momentarily, followed expert advice on covid. This approach by trump lasted a very short time.

The cycle continues, trump spreads mis-information and facts eventually catch up with him.
