On Wednesday while legislators were in bunkers calling for help, the white house was silent. While the mayor of DC was calling for permission to call out the Guard, the answer was no. When the governor of Massachusets was calling for permission to send his National Guard in, his calls went unanswered for an hour and a half. This time the White House really did tell them to stand down. And apparently at POTUS direction because he didn't want to send the guard in on his people. We are going to hear more about this.
