Trump's action committee spent $375,000 on an unused office

It's apparently not against the law but it's certainly not defensible. Imagine if the Clintons or Obama did the same.
Yeah, like the Clinton foundation? No conflicts of interest there!

Bill Clinton giving a speech for $500k to a Russian finance corporation, WHILE his wife was SOS.

"
Bill Clinton "made $500k for a Russian speech"

This is accurate. The source of the claim is the 2015 book "Clinton Cash" by author and political consultant Peter Schweizer. During an April 2015 interview about the book on Fox News Sunday, he said something that caught our eye: "Of the 13 (Bill) Clinton speeches that fetched $500,000 or more, only two occurred during the years his wife was not secretary of state."

https://www.politifact.com/factchec...s/fact-checking-hillary-clintons-ties-russia/ And in the course of our investigation of Clinton’s federal financial disclosure forms, we found that former President Clinton gave a talk in 2010 to a Russian finance corporation. He was compensated $500,000.

The Clinton Foundation is not a PAC. The Clinton Foundation did not allegedly use donations to pay exorbitant rent for an empty office in the building that they owned.

And guess who was the landlord? The former grifter-in-chief and now just a grifter. The office was located in Trump Tower. Also, in addition to the PAC, TFG's campaign office rented office space there that was not used (it was located in Alexandria, VA).

How can anyone support this liar/grifter/conman?

Shitty scumbags support that POS

Just let him grift them. They will be bankrupted soon enough and they will have deserved it.

Not close to the same thing. Trump has a history of pocketing money donated to his organizations. He was fined $2M for skimming money from the Trump Foundation to use in his campaign and to buy Tim Tebow memorabilia and a portrait of himself.

"Additionally, as part of the settlement, Trump was required to agree to 19 admissions, acknowledging his personal misuse of funds at the Trump Foundation, and agreed to restrictions on future charitable service and ongoing reporting to the Office of the Attorney General, in the event he creates a new charity. The settlement also included mandatory training requirements for Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump, which the three children have already undergone. Finally, the settlement required the Trump Foundation to shutter its doors last December and dissolve under court supervision."

Just let him grift them. They will be bankrupted soon enough and they will have deserved it.
In the mean time, they are sucking the donations that otherwise would have gone to the RNC dry. So much winning.

It is credible because it fits the Trump reality. Trump University - scam. Trump Charitable Foundation - scam. Trump Buy American - his clothing line made in China - scam. Shall I go on?

How many times has Trump failed to pay his contractors? How many times has Trump failed to pay his own lawyers?

Why wouldn't I lend credence to the story? It fits right in with so many other confirmed accounts of Trump screwing people out of their money.
Add to all that TFG's using money from his "charitable" foundation for himself. Once a con man, always a con man; once a grifter, always a grifter; once cheat, always a cheat.

This is the way liberal media fabricates lies.

While it may be true that Trump PAC's rented space in his building, which is not illegal, notice that there are no named persons confirming the offices were empty. They simply make that part up, attribute no sources, and they dare you to prove them wrong.

Watch the posts that pile up here of people gobbling the entire lie whole.

Uh, they called the building, and the Trump employee who answered the phone told them that the Trump PAC wasn’t in the Trump Tower.

The Clinton Foundation is not a PAC.
Correct, it is 10 times worse than any PAC. It is a dirty money-laundering scheme where oligarchs from countries such as Russia, "donate" money to help the supposed charity "help 'others'".

Can you imagine Melania Trump speaking to a Russian bank while her husband was POTUS? Would there not be, at a minimum, an APPEARANCE of a conflict of interest that would not be ignored?

The Clinton Foundation did not allegedly use donations to pay exorbitant rent for an empty office in the building that they owned.
They also used very little for charity, as has been well documented.

You should start a thread about it.

Do you have any observations about the thread topic? It's about the apparent grifting by Trump's PAC.

Yeah, maybe.

Yeah, if they violated the law, they should be held accountable.
Actually, it appears that the PAC didn't break the law. Probably because the lawmakers never imagined that a former President would use political donations to pay his own company for an empty office.

Please provide proof the unnamed ex-aide from this article exists.

Thanks.
The mental gymnastics you go through to continue believing the con are quite amazing......I have read that people that have been conned will defend the conman the longest because admitting it when the facts pile up hurts their ego. They have a stake in protecting the conman.

It's weird to see it in action on such a broad scale. Fascinating.

Wow, I am surprised it wasn't occupied by a Trump cronnie, yet paid for by the PAC. Trump let it sit vacant? I think he missed an opportunity here, maybe he is slipping.

You got him now!!

You never Trumpers never stop even after getting borscht all over your faces with the Russian collusion hoax that was spoon fed to y'all via fake alphabet news for 5 years. 😂

Although I'm not on his side here I'd just like to point out that proving a negative is normally really hard.
If the office was in fact occupied it should be really easy to prove.

My God, another ignorant post that needs to be introduced to real facts......

The Clinton Foundation was actually a highly rated foundation that received the highest rating from Charity Navigator: https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=16680

The Clinton's were not paid by foundation, nor did they receive any benefit from it other than it paid for some travel.

http://www.politifact.com/punditfac...at-pundit-clintons-get-no-personal-benefit-f/

The Clinton Foundation actually had audited financial statements which were available to the public. Perhaps you have read them before? (jk)

The "they used very little for charity" is another ignorant statement. The Clinton Foundation was an active charity that did original work. It had employees. It was not in the business of donating money to others. In contrast, the Trump Foundation was not an active charity, it gave money away. A bunch of right wing porn sites tried to paint the picture that because Trump gave away more money than the Clinton Foundation that somehow the Trump Foundation was righteous and the Clinton Foundation not so much. But, this was just a play upon the useful idiots that frequent right wing political porn sites, as it not a correct measure as evidenced by the fact that the Trump Foundation, which was shut down by the State of New York because it was a fraud and Trump was a tax cheat.

And th
Nope. You obviously didn't follow Salon's link to the original story:

"A HuffPost analysis of Federal Election Commission filings shows that Trump’s Make America Great Again PAC spent $37,541.67 in each of 10 months last year renting office space at Trump Tower, the former president’s 57-story mixed-use building near Central Park."

There are no names or sources. You can't prove these people even exist, much less have credible knowledge of anything.

As far as we know, Huffpo took a line item expense and made up a story about empty offices.

And here you are gobbling it down whole.
And they could have video and dna and you’d still say “nuh-uh”.

Your reality is what you choose it to be. Doesn’t rely on proof but demands it anyway.

providing internal polling and messaging data.

As campaign manager.

So the campaign colluded with the russians.

But the untold story behind that story is one that involves not just the Russian president, but also a former American president and a woman who would like to be the next one.

At the heart of the tale are several men, leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have been major donors to the charitable endeavors of former President Bill Clinton and his family. Members of that group built, financed and eventually sold off to the Russians a company that would become known as Uranium One.

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.

And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.

At the time, both Rosatom and the United States government made promises intended to ease concerns about ceding control of the company’s assets to the Russians. Those promises have been repeatedly broken, records show.
