Will trumpians be yearning for basement days? I'm sure with dingbat donald, trumpians are yearning for bunkerboy days and don's mouth shut.

Oh, Biden! Deliver us from darkness! Our savior!

Joe Biden was never in a basement in the first place. That entire phraseology started to counter-act the mocking of Trump for cowering in the white house basement during protests. It was transparent and it didn't work.

oh thats right...he is on his balcony firing off two shotgun blasts.

It was the kind of utterance that makes professional transcribers question their career choice:

“ … there is no collusion between certainly myself and my campaign, but I can always speak for myself — and the Russians, zero.”

When President Trump offered that response to a question at a press conference last week, it was the latest example of his tortured syntax, mid-thought changes of subject, and apparent trouble formulating complete sentences, let alone a coherent paragraph, in unscripted speech

Research has shown that changes in speaking style can result from cognitive decline. STAT therefore asked experts in neurolinguistics and cognitive assessment, as well as psychologists and psychiatrists, to compare Trump’s speech from decades ago to that in 2017; they all agreed there had been a deterioration, and some said it could reflect changes in the health of Trump’s brain

In interviews Trump gave in the 1980s and 1990s (with Tom Brokaw, David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey, Charlie Rose, and others), he spoke articulately, used sophisticated vocabulary, inserted dependent clauses into his sentences without losing his train of thought, and strung together sentences into a polished paragraph, which — and this is no mean feat — would have scanned just fine in print.

This was so even when reporters asked tough questions about, for instance, his divorce, his brush with bankruptcy, and why he doesn’t build housing for working-class Americans

Now, Trump’s vocabulary is simpler. He repeats himself over and over, and lurches from one subject to an unrelated one

Trump used to be more articulate. What could explain the change?

and whats your take on Biden? Be honest...I have videos ready to post.

Biden looked good last night when it counted, you know like great athletes that rise to the occaision. Yeah, we can post former chopped up videos of either man and make either man look bad. Cancels out arguments.

Last night, all trumpian mental fitness dreams went up in smoke, kind of like tara reade. The problem for trump supporters, they secretly know, trump speaks like a complete buffoon daily, lies daily and they can't stop him. Like I wrote, trumpians wish trump would hide in the basement, let others speak for him. Trump shutting up is his best chance 2020.

Biden, well he is strategically showing American voters, that attacks on him were just more lies from the trump fraud camp

My take. What's your take on trump's inability to articulate, why does he lie, why did he brag about a cognitive exam that identifies animals?

You are on a political forum and didnt get the reference?

Nope. The only similar reference I could think of is Schindler's list, but that was a rifle and I'm not aware of Biden shooting any Jews.

Why don't you lay it out for us?

This is the beginning of a thread derail, don't fall for it. Trumpists make some obscure reference and ask, "Don't you know...?" in the hopes that the thread will go off on a tangent about who knows what and who noticed what and who didn't, all the while avoiding the topic.

The OP says even Fox thinks Biden sounded okay. Sounded fine to me too.

*sigh*

trump has looked equally good or better during the state of the union.
It is what biden is going to do when he isn't scripted out that is going to plunge him into the basement again.

And in my opinion, what I think is a very important point:

Biden United two very politically opposite news sources. That is an interesting start, in order to unite America from Trump's laughing stalk, to a great Nation envied by all.

Oh, Biden! Deliver us from darkness! Our savior!

A little over the top, but, well said. We have a president that can't and won't lead, has done nothing to unite our Nation (not once) and everything to divide us. He's compromised and diminished our relations with allies and cozied up to our enemies, going so far as praising their consolidation of power and pining that "we should give it a shot". Until DJT, never in my 69 years have I ever heard of shouting matches in the Oval Office, he has demeaned the very office he holds and does it daily with his little hands and big mouth. His misadministration has been a series of dumpster fires one after another only eclipsed by his pathological lying. And that just scratches the surface of the DJT disaster we are ALL living.

Joe Biden isn't the second coming, but America desperately needs something different than DJT. Joe Biden has lived a life focused on bringing people together, so yes, he's the guy to get in there and pick up the pieces of this DJT shattered Nation. I don't envy him the job, but we AmeriCANs are lucky he wants it.

Biden exceeded the low bar he needed to hurdle.
Now he has to argue substance.

The Weekend at Bernie's candidate or rather those propping him up survived the night.

Looking forward to seeing him hit the ground running.

People with dementia can be lucid on occasion. This is a good thing because now his handlers will not back out of debates.

Biden (a couple days ago): "I'm Joe Biden's husband."

I look forward to the debates.

Not only that, there's a pro-trump video out there with all of the times he talked about being president.

The odd way he talks now shows up abruptly in 2012, iirc.

The change is really obvious.

I'll try to find it again.

it was just a perfect speech by Joe.

hell, the whole convention was perfect.
