"But several subpoenas issued Wednesday did not come from the House Intelligence Committee writ large, but from chair Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA)."
........
"He retains broad subpoena power and only has to “consult” minority Democrats on the committee in order to issue subpoenas."
........
"@tomlobianco
@lrozen Committee rules give Nunes broad power ... only has to "consult" minority ... altho unmasking as an issue has some support among Rs on panel"

Actually it means you're the one not understanding what Nunes said.
You have an inability to grasp that Nunes issued 3 subpoenas unilaterally w/o consulting Schiff. That act violated a committee rule. You also refuse to acknowledge that Nunes signing the 7 subpoenas repudiates his earlier statement to step away from the Russian Meddling Investigation. We have had similar debates in the past where you find your comfort by refusing to leave the comfort of your Filter Bubble. Peace to you and yours!
1) Yes, Schiff said Nunes did not consult him about the subpoenas. Schiff also lied saying Nunes "recused" hisself.
2) You still don't understand what Nunes said in his statement, “I will continue to fulfill all my other responsibilities as Committee Chairman"
3) I live in a bubble, cool. You don't understand that words mean things.
I absolutely understand. I generally do not question your intelligence. In this particular debate, you have reverted to an old habit and let your partisanship blind you.
Nunes, due to the pressure of ethics complaints against him, reluctantly agreed to step away from the Russian Meddling Investigation. That did not mean he could not fulfill all the other duties as Chairman. It did mean that he could not fulfill Chairman duties that crossed over into the Russian Meddling Investigation. Thus, these latest subpoenas continue to create new ethical issues for Nunes.
Please read a definition of "mutually exclusive" -
"Mutually exclusive" is a statistical term describing two or more events that cannot occur simultaneously. For example, it is impossible to roll a five and a three on a single die at the same time.
While I'll agree that what Nunes said compared to his actions is somewhat disingenuous, I'll not agree to unethical in the legal sense. Can I assume Schiff claiming Nunes "recused" himself is just as concerning ??
As to your "cross over" statement I'll agree also, but there are many, many posters here that claim the unmasking and leaking is no more than a distraction therefore unrelated to the investigation.
Nunes reluctantly stepped away under pressure because of the ethical complaints against him. That act sums up the meaning of recuse one's self.
re·cuse
riˈkyo͞oz/Submit
verbNORTH AMERICAN
challenge (a judge, prosecutor, or juror) as unqualified to perform legal duties because of a possible conflict of interest or lack of impartiality.
"a motion to recuse the prosecutor"
(of a judge) excuse oneself from a case because of a possible conflict of interest or lack of impartiality.
"the Justice Department demanded that he recuse himself from the case"
Sorry, but without stating recusal there is no legal or House ethical jeopardy.
Nunes reminds me of a frustrated namby-pamby, who after losing a fight and sulking, has reemerged.
His prior attempt to cast shade on the Trump-Russian Investigation resulted in unresolved ethics complaints against him. Apparently, his respite from the public spotlight has re-emboldened him.
I thought he stepped aside from this investigation? Kinda? Sorta? Nah.... not in this era of Alternative Facts!
How do you like your job now Rep. Nunes?

Did you mention before you went to Law School, then specialized in Ethics?
Accordingly, we have an Open and Shut Case... and I can't argue with that RW Talking Point. Thank you for the enlightenment!
So the beef of the left is that Nunes has input as to who is subpoenaed? That is silly. If you look at what the complaint is, it's almost as if the left only wants testimony from those who share their views. I'm shocked! Shocked!
This is much ado about nothing but trying to filter who speaks and who doesn't. It's a small wonder why there are conspiracy theories about conspiracy stories on top of smoke about conspiracy theories. I'd like to hear the whole story without pages missing.
Oh look another inflammatory thread where progressives get to circle jerk all over each other. Shocking.
I wonder if the House Intelligence Committee will be subpoenaing the transcript of the conversation between Clinton and Lynch.

Nunes is like the piece of waste you try to flush down the toilet and it keeps bobbing up again and again. He should simply get out of the way and shut his mouth before he embarrasses himself even further with his toady sycophant sucking up to Trump.
