We know that every president writes a book about his time in the WH. It’s been 20 months since he left, but there hasn’t been any news about it. By this time with Obama, we had learned that he was writing much of it himself and that it would thus be awhile before it would be published. You would think that there would be some sort of leak about how Trump’s WH biography is going, but crickets thus far. Maybe he can’t find a writer willing to sell his soul. Here’s how another chatter puts it:

He'll just let his narssisistic lies spew out into a recorder, and hire flunkies to pretty them up and he'll get the same pricetag either way.

Good point. We all know how Trump rambles incoherently with stream of consciousness blather when he talks extemporaneously. What professional writer would want to wade through all that and try to separate the multitude of lies from what little substance there may be? What professional ghost writer would want or be subjected to Trump reading the drafts and DEMANDING that his LIES be part of it? Trump is going to have to find a hack ghost writer to sell his soul in order to construct a book composed of clear lies on page after page after page. Maybe Trump is having trouble finding such a person, just as he’s having trouble finding lawyers willing to defend him. Who wants to work for a known liar? And one who often won’t pay his bills.
One thing for sure. Once it is published, the ignorant base will rush to buy it so that he can brag that it’s the “best-selling” WH biography, and perhaps the “best selling American book of all time”. That’s all he really want from the book, truth be damned.

They'll have to file it in the fiction section, parody subsection.

He will have more to write about in a couple of years. He's holding off writing his book for a while.

and when he does they will just call him a grifter:rolleyes:

IMO, Trump should wait until the end of his second term (2028) before writing any memoirs.

I might pay to see him sit down and without assistance attempt to actually write something.

Why? It's not like he will actually write anything except a few words in sharpie.

"not a puppet not a puppet ur a puppet"

Yeah so he and his Trump supporters can write it in jail.

The title of Trump book would be named "How to lie, deny, and pass blame for failures on to others"

If they'll believe the Big Lie, they'll believe anything, no doubt.

I would like to read it if he puts a book out just to see the number of lies and dis and misinformation, right after I find my chest high waders.

One should not joke about politicians having ghost writers.

They all do.

I remember how shocked I was when I learned that John F. Kennedy's famous Profiles in Courage was largely ghost written.

And, of course, if the 46th President ever issues a book, even his most ardent fans will realize that it was ghost written.

*****
One of the most sensitive issues is whether those books written by the 44th President were actually written by him.
