White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said during a press briefing Monday that the president had not been briefed. Pressed on the matter by reporters, including whether that applied to the president’s daily briefing, she said: “He was not personally briefed on the matter. That is all I can share with you today, is that both the CIA director, the national security advisor, and the chief of staff can all confirm neither the president or the vice president was briefed.”

CNN helped fuel the Trumper Clown Kayleigh McEnany's career by giving her a high profile commentator position during the 2016 election cycle.

McEnany's decision to undergo a double mastectomy as a preemptive measure suggests economic privilege. I don't fault her for the decision. I applaud the notion of placing long term health above vanity.

Bolton: ‘Remarkable’ Trump Says He Wasn’t Briefed on Russian Bounties | Time

John Bolton: It's ‘Remarkable’ Trump Says He Wasn’t Briefed About Russia's Reported U.S. Troop Bounties

It’s “remarkable” that President Donald Trump is energetically denying that he knew of intelligence reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin had put bounties on U.S. and allied troops in Afghanistan, former national security adviser John Bolton said Sunday.

“It is pretty remarkable the President’s going out of his way to say he hasn’t heard anything about it, one asks, why would he do something like that?” Bolton said.

“He can disown everything if no-one ever told him about it,” Bolton said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “It looks like just another day in the office at the Trump White House.”

Bolton said he didn’t know the quality of the intelligence on the Russian bounty plan, or the extent of it. And not all information that flows through the many U.S. intelligence agencies is passed on to the commander in chief, Bolton noted.

“There needs to be a filter of intelligence for any president, especially for this president,” he said.

“Active Russian aggression like that against American servicemen is a very, very serious matter,” Bolton added.

Asked why Trump is often defensive of Russia’s Putin, Bolton said he didn’t read anything into it, necessarily. “ I just don’t know what to say other than if he likes dealing with strong authoritarian figures.”

Or it was in the PDB in a timely manner, and he didn't read it. That is the most likely possibility, and the White House is scrambling to cover for him ... again.

It is inconceivable that after the Times article went public, millions of Americans were aware of the threat to our troops, but our President did not.

However, in Trump's case, that appears to be true. He was busy tweeting about monuments, those misbehaving protesters, and Joe Biden while avoiding the coronavirus pandemic which is getting worse.

It's one of the situations where the defense is hardly better than the charge: "I didn't knowingly let Putin do this because I don't have a ****ing clue about what's going on.

Great one, DJT. He's innocent because he's too incompetent to be guilty, we're told. Really reassuring.

I'd sooner believe her than anything the Trump hating media says...especially when it comes from unnamed sources.

Amazing. He sits here all day refreshing every single subforum tabs so he can muck up any thread critical of Trump with some diversionary bull**** within the second or third post at latest (he seems to have slipped this time), and that's all he arrives with: a statement about his own personal bias.

Clue: letting us know you'll believe only what Team Trump says is not a defense of Team Trump.

I just love when leftist get caught in fake news.

The National Security Council comes out yesterday and states that the veracity of the underlying allegations continues to be evaluated.

The National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien said in a statement that because the allegations in recent press articles have not been verified or substantiated by the Intelligence Community,
President Trump had not been briefed on the items.

And the Department of Defense, through Chief Pentagon Spokesman Jonathan Hoffman, said that to date, DOD has no corroborating evidence to validate the recent allegations found in any reports.

So what does ole back peddling San Fran Nan do? She comes out with her new statement to try and hide her idiocy, if thats even possible. First she claimed Trump was working with Putin to kill American service members. Now after the intel community has come out and said this is all just fake news, what does Pelosi say?

She is now stating Trump wasn't briefed because they know it makes him very unhappy, and all roads for him, as you know, lead to Putin. And would he tell Putin what they knew.

More fake news and fake claims by the fake left exposed again.

Can you fathom how incredibly dumb it reads when someone responds with the ostrich effect?
The ostrich effect bias is a tendency to ignore dangerous or negative information by ignoring it or burying one's head in the sand.

Using links/sources to corroborate statements adds to credibility!

Intelligence on Russian bounty plot was included in the President's Daily Brief earlier this year, source says - CNNPolitics

When the report came out that the United States had intelligence that the Russians were paying bounties to the Taliban for killing U.S. troops and that the White House had not decided what to do about it, President Trump tweeted: “Nobody briefed or told me, [Vice President] Pence, or Chief of Staff [Mark Meadows] about the so-called attacks on our troops.” Wrong answer, Mr. President. The fact that you or your staff were not “briefed" on this critical intelligence does not excuse the White House for its failure to take action to defend our troops. The answer is not “nobody briefed or told me.” The answer is: What is the United States going to do about it? If Russians are, in fact, paying money to those killing our men and women in uniform, they are just as guilty of murder as those pulling the trigger. What they are doing is as close to an act of war as you can get, and it demands that we do everything necessary to defend our troops.

No matter what excuses the president puts forward, there is nothing that can justify the failure to act. The president’s duty as commander in chief is not just to defend the nation but also to defend the men and women in uniform who are willing to put their lives on the line for our country. . . If the president was not briefed as he should have been about this critical intelligence, then his staff must be held accountable. If the National Security Council did meet on this intelligence in March and failed to bring options for action to the president, then the national security adviser needs to be held accountable. If the intelligence was in the PDB — the president’s daily intelligence briefing — and the president ignored it or failed to even read it, then he should be held accountable.

President Trump had not been briefed on the items.

Not an excuse if true, but almost certainly a lie.

But keep lying to defend the murder of our troops by our "greatest geopolitical foe" . . .

You mean like the thousands of Orange Man Bad debunked regurgitations we listen too every day?

Just how to you take action on something never discussed or briefed? I missed that part.

Just curious, what is it about the Intel community telling you they didn't perceive the information as accurate or credible so they didn't brief anybody on it; not getting through to you?
