Your thread title is a lie.Trump Considers Overhaul of Refugee System That Would Favor White People
The proposals would transform a program aimed at helping the most vulnerable people in the world into one that gives preference to mostly white people who say they are being persecuted.www.nytimes.com
So...people that have a better chance of being functioning members of society rather than public charges like the left wants? OH THE HORROR!giving preference to English speakers
Notice how the article starts out with its conclusion that this is bad because it's supposedly pro-white people:Your thread title is a lie.
You claim "Trump wants...". The article says, "Trump considers".
Why are you lying to your fellow DP members?
In any case...from the article:
Trump administration officials have not ruled out any of the ideas, according to people familiar with the planning, although there is no set timetable for approving or rejecting the ideas.
If you don't understand what that says, I'll tell you: They are brainstorming and have not come to any decisions.
I suggest you dial back the lies and go with the facts. Okay?
Well, it's this that takes it in a different course as well:Notice how the article starts out with its conclusion that this is bad because it's supposedly pro-white people:

...but then in the body of the article, the first objective statement actually refers to English speakers:

And just like that, liberals took a logical, merit-based policy aimed at getting functioning immigrants that benefit the American economy rather than weighing it down as public charges do, and turned it into something bad and racist because white people might incidentally benefit from it.
The proposals also advise Mr. Trump to prioritize Europeans who have been “targeted for peaceful expression of views online such as opposition to mass migration or support for ‘populist’ political parties.” That appeared to be a reference to the European far-right political party Alternative for Germany, whose leaders have trivialized the Holocaust, revived Nazi slogans and denigrated foreigners. Vice President JD Vance has criticized Germany for trying to suppress the views of the group, which is known as the AfD.
Well, it's this that takes it in a different course as well:
No, it didn't, but thanks for playing! The proposals also advise Mr. Trump to prioritize Europeans who have been “targeted for peaceful expression of views online such as opposition to mass migration or support for ‘populist’ political parties.” That appeared to be a reference to the European far-right

I'm just wondering if these stories actually have convincing evidence / videos to back up what supposedly happened. Because all I see is:Trump administration is openly racists. That white people are allowed to come to the US based on ridiculous lies
Are white South Africans facing a genocide as Donald Trump claims?

I didn't ask for more of the same, I asked for evidence of the original item. Is there any convincing evidence? There are many more examples
of how ICE have targeted American citizens simply because of their ethnicity or peaceful protest.

Also interesting that the MAGA movement is all about “stopping illegal immigrants”. While you and other MAGA:s seem to have no problem with White South Africans lying to get asylum in the USA. Just like you have no problem with Trump not only believing their lies but also spreading those lies.
This isn't about "immigrants". It's about refugees. Wealthy nations all around the world take in a number of true refugees each year, knowing that they will need to support their integration into society, but doing this for humanitarian reasons, not for economic reasons. These refugees are not the sort of 'economic migrants' that flood the southern border. They are people from actual war zones and countries where their lives are truly at risk for political or religious reasons etc.Notice how the article starts out with its conclusion that this is bad because it's supposedly pro-white people:

Cool, but we can still pick and choose which ones benefit us.This isn't about "immigrants". It's about refugees. Pretty sure most Americans stopped caring what liberals think is or isn't "Christian" around the same time they stopped caring about their incessant whining about "racism" and "Nazism."Under Trump, the US already takes in a pitifully low number of these refugees when compared to many other nations. The US also doesn't invest in helping these people acclimate as heavily as many other nations. What this article is talking about is the US removing itself even further from global humanity initiatives. Given Trumps lack of both humanity and morals, I guess this was pretty predictable. I wonder though how all the so called "Christians" that love Trump so much rationalise this with Christian love and sharing etc? Trump is basically saying - "ain't no loaves and little fishes" here for you buddy!!
Here are some realities -Cool, but we can still pick and choose which ones benefit us.

There's probably 100 million+ people in India that speak English. Some "ban!"Here are some realities -
1) Americas birth rate is way below the replacement rate. Americas population only grows (or stays stable) due to immigration
2) The US population demographics continue to move further towards the older generations. We need more working age people to maintain any sort of economic growth, and to support the aging population
3) Unlike the mid 1900's etc, America is not today a destination of first choice for migrants from other wealthy (or 'white') countries. In fact it is rapidly sliding down that list as people watch Americas march towards authoritarianism, and a type of morality that most outside the US don't agree with.
4) Most other 'white' (English speaking) populations are also suffering from lower birth rates, so there isn't an excess of all these 'desirable' peoples looking enviously at the US. Certainly not enough to meet US population needs.
I see this like many of Trumps other policies. It caters to some current talking point that get's his cults panties wet, but in reality is not a long term sustainable plan. The bottom line is that Trump is looking to virtually stop immigration by making the criteria so tight that few will meet them. I guess we will find out over the next few years, but my view is that America doesn't really have that as a viable option today. Yes we can be more choosy about who we allow in, but effectively banning 'brown people' through language requirements etc is not a realistic option.
Or Canada. I'm cool with letting them go to Canada. No, he wants to end the uncontrolled mass immigration that has been in place for decades now.
And stopping people posing as so-called „refugees“, while actually being criminal infiltrants who want to sneak into the US and Europe.
Trump is doing the right thing here again, because so-called „refugees“ should not be able to pick and choose the country they are admitting them, or caravan through 10 safe countries first and then choose the most welfare-state-providing country. No. They have to be admitted by the next neighbor country next to their own !
Pick and choose and illegal immigration is OVER !
How many of those are seeking refugee status in the US?There's probably 100 million+ people in India that speak English. Some "ban!"
Who cares? How many of those are seeking refugee status in the US?
Those discussing the topic. Go back to sleep.Who cares?

The poster I responded to was talking about getting an economic benefit from migrants. They don't need to be refugees for that. Hopefully now you can make comments that actually suggest you were paying attention to the conversation. You're welcome. How many of those are seeking refugee status in the US?
