Trump vs Hillary

I voted for the Honorable Donald J. Trump because -- as usual-- it was a matter of the lesser evil.

I disliked how the Honorable Hillary Clinton pandered to a certain group (that group did NOT reward her with a huge turnout as they did for the Democratic candidate in 2008 & 2012).

During the next four years, the current Administration will no doubt find a nice position for her.

That would be very nice. She was crushed when she did not get the nomination in 2008 and doubly crushed when she lost in 2016. So it seems only proper that she be rewarded for her service to the Democratic Party. (Maybe appointed to the Supreme Court?)
Sarcasm is not your strong suit. Hillary's elected or appointed political career is over, even if it would be a GOP wet dream to get to slander her again, maybe even launch a few more "investigations" of her.

Voted for HRC---who else??
She was vastly more competent and experienced, Tough. Proven record. Smart. respected around the world. And she was running against a 5th Avenue, playboy-tycoon who was clearly, by any standard, unfit for the Oval Office----why the hell would ANY normal American have had trouble figuring 2016 out???

I WANTED Bernie, I voted for him in the primaries but when he lost I held my nose and pulled the H lever.
I think she's a stellar policy wonk, and a very competent lawmaker, but she is very unlikable as a PERSON, as a CANDIDATE....too aloof and too arrogant.

But I DID vote for her.

Bill wasnt that bad though.... I was making way less money under his era and I was still good on my bills and I felt I was finanacially much more stabiled. Today is so hard making a living.
Bill was competent and he was willing to listen and sometimes compromise. Hillary was always right. Just ask her.

Wrong---------there was CLEARLY a better candidate in HRC. Name us a perfect candidate out of the 45 in U.S. History-------------you can't.
There were three clearly less bad candidates than HRC. One was elected.

The closest thing to a perfect candidate was General Washington. he brought dignity and gravitas to an office that badly needed both.

Conspiracies don't cut it----you lose this one....
Benghazi was no conspiracy theory. people died on Hillary's watch, but she managed to evade accountability. The email server did violate the Espionage Act.

The conspiracy theory is the one claiming a largely nonviolent demonstration was insurrection.

The first and only time I did not vote, I was living overseas and hated both candidates. I hoped Trump would have grown up and be Presidential, nope.

Didn't vote for either of them. In hindsight, it was a mistake.

Reading this thread and the responses, it's VERY clear that the only reason why Trump ever became president was because people couldn't stand Hillary. Pretty much anyone else, Biden included, would have sent that orange loser packing in 2016 if they were the nominee.

I think that's correct.

There have been numerous attacks on U.S. diplomatic posts throughout our history. Foreign service people have died on many occasions. Never has the attack been laid at the feet of the secretary of state. The fact that it happened to Hillary is solid proof that the GOP was and is willing to do anything, no matter how low and disgusting to politicize and capitalize on a tragedy.

Colin Powell, secretary of state under GW Bush, also used a private email server while serving in that post, but not s single peep out of the GOP about that. Only Hillary should have been held accountable, simply because she didn't have an R behind her name. That's pathetic.

Bernie was too liberal.

We'll never know but id say thats the safe bet and one id put all my money on

heck IMO if she just ran a better campaign and was so arrogant and confident of her victory and actually visited some more places she wins

Holy shit Benghazi!!! You blame Hillary, while you ignore how many hours of hearings and testimony. You are a treat, albeit a predictable treat.

Bernie was too liberal.

More than just liberal, he was a democratic socialist, or "social democrat".
(which is actually closer to what he is even if he doesn't agree)
Thing is, I misjudged the mood of the Congress in 2016, and by that I mean that I was being a little too optimistic.
I am really much more "center-left" than Bernie, but I figured that he could work with the more moderate elements in the party.
I mean, Bernie has worked with REPUBLICANS before.
Ummmm, key word here being "BEFORE"...and in today's atmosphere there's a lot of Republicans who won't even work with other Republicans anymore.
Witness Cheney, Romney, Kinzinger and more.
A good many Trump-publicans are now expressing open hatred to their fellow Republicans, much less Democrats.

Sigh, I was too optimistic about Bernie.
At this point, given the atmosphere today, Attila the Hun would be considered too far left! 😂

"unlikeable" ??? Most people do not know her, personally.......How did you two meet up???? I think you were fooled by the image of her that the media created.....

Wow------have no idea how you can say that with a straight face, especially what we know today. I would love to hear even ONE reason why DJT was a better candidate....
The closest thing to a perfect candidate was General Washington. he brought dignity and gravitas to an office that badly needed both.
Closest thing, yeah-----maybe
Benghazi was no conspiracy theory. people died on Hillary's watch, but she managed to evade accountability. The email server did violate the Espionage Act.
It was a 'nothing burger'----that is the fact, not opinion...............you lose this one

Dafuggouttahere with that nonsense.
I've followed her from Day One when she was the First Lady of Arkansas, which is where I was living at the time, by the way.
You also seem to forget that I mentioned the fact that she's good at her job...she just alienates people as a candidate for the presidency.
You also skipped the part where I said that I voted for her.
But go right ahead and twist my words all you like if it makes you feel better.

PS: One of the things Biden did during the debates was PUT Trump in his place, something Hillary complained about in a book instead of actually doing it.
She's known the world over for telling people off when she gets mad, but on stage with Trump breathing down her neck, she shrunk, and that is part of what sealed her fate, too.
Had she turned around and gotten square in his face and told him to sit down and shut up, she might have turned the tide.
America needed to see a person stand up to the Orange Pig Bladder.

Not the people I know----again, you sound influenced by the media

No twisting----your rational was poor, that's all.......

HRC won those debates hands down on the facts, etc.....................there was no contest

That should have sealed trump's fate--------incredible that people were impressed with trump acting like a creep. I did not see her "shrink" at all.............media influencing you again.....
Had she turned around and gotten square in his face and told him to sit down and shut up, she might have turned the tide.
HRC was much too presidential to do that---------why would anyone be impressed with anything less????
America needed to see a person stand up to the Orange Pig Bladder.
She did-----by her words and actions in being presidential

I voted against Hillary. Bill is still the most corrupt President since WW II, but he was competent. Hillary is both corrupt and incompetent.

Actually the Raygun administration was the most corrupt.

Wow------have no idea how you can say that with a straight face, especially what we know today. I would love to hear even ONE reason why DJT was a better candidate....
I said less bad for a reason. We are fortunate Trump turned out to be a capable President. I would have been happy with a do-nothing stooge like Biden.

Closest thing, yeah-----maybe
Nothing is perfect if Man is involved, though to really screw up you need a computer.

It was a 'nothing burger'----that is the fact, not opinion...............you lose this one
That's not only opinion, it's an uninformed opinion.

What "non-violent" event is that ???
You have the date, 6 January. What else do you need to know?

Actually the Raygun administration was the most corrupt.
Not close. Iran Contra was the worst single scandal, but it stood alone. The Clinton administration had an unending succession of scandals.

"The presidency of Ronald Reagan in the United States was marked by numerous scandals, resulting in the investigation, indictment, or conviction of over 138 administration officials, the largest number for any president in American history.[1]"

I said less bad for a reason. We are fortunate Trump turned out to be a capable President. I would have been happy with a do-nothing stooge like Biden.
??????? Huh ?? Name one thing Trump did that showed he was "capable" ???

???? no, Fact-------the zillion hours of investigation are done------not even an accusation came out of it,,,
You have the date, 6 January. What else do you need to know?
We cannot debate if you are not rational----------------where you born yesterday??? You know what happened?
