Democrats can’t find a Smocking Gun tying the Trump campaign to Russia after James Comey’s testimony. No Smocking Gun…No Collusion.” @FoxNews That’s because there was NO COLLUSION. So now the Dems go to a simple private transaction, wrongly call it a campaign contribution,…”

Trump Gets Mocked on Twitter for Smocking Gun Tweet | Time

Sadly that's not a typo when you do it twice. He really is that stupid.

There are some great responses.

"SMOCKING HOT COVFEFE" Bwahahahaha

I mean, it's a funny typo. If only this were the biggest thing to worry about when it comes to Trump.

I was about to denounce this as silly and petty. But he spelled it that way twice.

I just saw that someone has found the smocking gun, no need to worry anymore!

It wasn't a typo. It was a combined effort to give his base a talking point while simultaneously making the story about the "typo." The real story is that he admitted that the action he's accused of taking really did happen, which negates any narrative that Cohen was lying.

Remember when Quayle was publicly destroyed by a spelling error?

I know we'd all like to believe he did this as part of some sort of strategy, but the reality is he did it twice.

People with paranoid psychological disorders, often lose their ability to communicate coherently, and you'll see them unable to read, spell, or concentrate.

He's nuts.

Yes, what is it with repubs electing morons? What is it about them that appeals to conservatives? Is it just low intellectual standards or do they also not know how to spell the most basic English words?

Trump embarrasses himself daily.

Neither

Its the hate that appeals to them

That was hilarious. Not just for a misspelling but being bested by a really little kid in the process that Quayle was smugly trying to correct... incorrectly.

The dumber they are the more you can have a beer with them.

Who wants to drink with a retard? Alcohol doesn't make people any smarter. Maybe that's why Trump doesn't drink, he can't afford to be any less cognitively able.

I was going to say at this point, it would be best if Trump admitted to drinking because without that he's looking really stupid.

I agree but the right doesn't call it hate. They prefer to provide justifications for their hateful policies while dancing around the fact that they do hate.

They don't hate Mexicans, they just LOVE not having them here. They don't hate the poor, they just LOVE a large, desperate labor pool. They don't hate gays, they just LOVE a hateful God.

You see, they're really all about love. You just have to look at things through the "right" lens.

Thought it was a dark day when "who would you rather have a beer with" became a reason to vote for a president.....

Yep. Trump admitted to the action. Now all that needs to be settled is the legality of it.

That has been the silver lining of all his openly offensive comments and idiotic tweeting -- his inability to STFU being used against him in a court of law. Again and again.

Gotta love that.

What were all those adults thinking as they applauded?

That the payments were illegal has already been settled by the Department of Justice.

Anyhoo, at first he calls Cohen a liar, now apparently Cohen isn't a liar after all. If at first Trump denies something, just wait a few days and he'll throw all the supporters who defended him under a bus as usual.

Well, in theory, it could have been illegal for Cohen but legal for Trump. A personal matter for Trump. An illegal cooperation by Cohen. Trump's lawyers will still have some ammunition to use in trying to convince people that it wasn't illegal for Trump to do it, no matter how sketchy the execution was.

The bar will get lower don't worry. The Kavanaugh hearings have opened up, "who would you rather boof with?"

What was priceless was the look on the kids face as he knew he was right but didn't want to correct an adult on live TV.

I disagree. The wording in the memorandum was damning and not made lightly. Experience Federal prosecutors wouldn't build an entire foundation for criminal wrongdoing on Trump's part and then throw in that Trump ordered him to do it haphazardly. There's a reason why all the legal professionals save Dershowitz and Giuliani agree that the memorandum criminally implicates Trump directly. And "implicates," by the way, may or may not sound like a big deal, but legally speaking, "criminally implicates" is a severe phrase.

i saw him speak once in the 1990s after that whole debacle had died down. wasn't a bad speech.
