Donald Trump now has a large block of free time to explore one of the coolest cities in Europe. What historical site does he plan on visiting?? Any thoughts??? Haha jk. We all know that he will sit on his butt in his hotel room watching TV. Do they have Fox News in France? It doesn't seem like it. He's not live tweeting.

But remember this trip was planned b/c Trump didn't get his military parade. And he isn't going to the cemetery b/c the weather will wreck his hair-do. He doesn't realize he can put up tents.... And besides. The Canadian Prime Minister is out and about...

President Donald Trump’s visit to the Belleau Wood cemetery and battlefield was canceled Saturday, as rainy weather across France prevented the planned helicopter excursion to mark one of the deadliest World War I battle sites.

“The President and First Lady’s trip to Ainse-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial has been canceled due to scheduling and logistical difficulties caused by the weather,” the White House said in a statement. “An American delegation led by Chief of Staff General John Kelly and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joe Dunford will attend on their behalf.”

Good thing he didn't choose to go to London.

Trump is all into crowd size - which would likely suck in the 'French rain'.

Fortunately he was able to salvage the situation by staying indoors and tweeting threats to rescind federal funding for California because the state’s on fire.

(sigh)

Yet again a "non-issue" being made an issue of to discredit the President.

Just another day in the "We hate Trump, see why?" hit parade that just keeps on playing over and over in the Forum these days. :coffeepap:

To be fair, Trump and umbrellas have a bad history together.

Do you know other delegations are going despite the weather -- like the Canadians?

I bet you still think Trump is strong on the military. Stop embarrassing yourself. I mean this is a pretty stupid thing to defend, if you just thought about it for a moment.

Trump is the living definition of incurious. We all know that he doesn't/won't/can't read. He apparently knows very very little history of anything or anywhere and doesn't care to know.

Paris and France are magic. The sense of history there is indescribable. I doubt Trump has much of an understanding of the deep historical connections between France and the US and that in and of itself is a shame. Who could ever imagine being in Paris shut up in a hotel suite watching CNN and SkyNews?

I'm guessing that Trump's team can't plan any special visits to much of anything in Paris and the surrounding area because not much worth seeing is accessible to golf carts. Unlike most other world leaders Trump doesn't/can't/won't walk more than 50 yards - and so he watches TV in Paris.

How is this thread “discrediting” trump?

The President of the United States of America flew to Europe to honour the fallen on the centenary of WW1, but stayed in his hotel room today instead of visiting the US cemetery because it was raining. How do you discredit someone like that?

I'm with Trump. He might melt in that rain.

Depends on the world leader. You wouldn't like to be locked up in a cozy Paris hotel suite with Justin Trudeau on a blustery wet day.;)

As for Trump in the rain, **** floats.

Besides for the rallies have we ever seen Trump mingle with normal everyday people when he wasn't on stage or behind a barrier?

No way he would, you know he is a germaphobe right? Except for barebacking it with prospers that is.:lamo Guess that is another lie uncovered.....

The allied soldiers landed under a hail of gunfire. They crawled across mine fields under heavy mortar attack. Just then, when they thought they could break through, rain swept over the battle field forcing them to turn back.

Rain Stops Trump in France

Seriously.

Trump cancels Armistice cemetery visit 'due to bad weather'

Somehow, rain did not stop other world leaders from attending the US cemetery to honor the WW1 fallen Americans. But, for some reason, Trump did not think it important enough to show up.

Hmm...I wonder how this would have gone over in WingLand had Obama said that he can't go out in the rain.

Maybe he doesn't feel well. Maybe he's preparing to "resign due to health issues" that haymarket has been salivating about. :)

Wonder when El Presidente Knochensporne ( President Bone Spurs) will visit Troops in a Combat zone

Different type of rain there

Re: Rain Stops Trump in France

What's the problem? Since the Trumps aren't able to attend, he sent Generals Kelly and Dunford to attend on his behalf.

Can't believe I'm defending Trump, but it probably wasn't his decision to cancel.
