Trump to bring back Presidential Fitness Test in schools

I can't stop laughing about this.

I'm old enough that I did this in elementary school a few years after it was introduced. I'm pretty sure Trump can't do the required sit ups or run a mile.

President Trump will host several professional athletes at the White House on Thursday, including golfer Bryson DeChambeau, for an executive order signing that will reestablish the Presidential Fitness Test.

DeChambeau, who is friendly with Trump, will chair the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, the White House confirmed.

 

This guy promoting fitness is like an arsonist sponsoring Fire Prevention Week.

Doubt it. If I remember right you needed something like 30 push ups and 30-40 sit ups in a 60 second window. I think back then it had Swarzeneggers name on it as well

At 53, I could double both of those.
 
DeChambeau is a waste product. I wouldn't call him a professional athlete.

He is going to find life difficult once dumpytits is out of office.
 
I have memories of attempting a rope climb for my test. IIRC, it did not go well for most of the girls in the class. I wonder if he will bring that back too?

I'm not opposed to such a test, anything to improve fitness is a good thing. I would prefer that somebody other than Donald Trump design the test, otherwise every child will be forced to learn golf.

Obama would have been excoriated for this (see Michelle healthy food push).

This assumes it is real. With Trump, it is probably either a whim that goes as far as his nose or a grift.
 
Physical fitness standards for kids with no exceptions. The left will go ballistic.
