Buyers remorse?...we've already seen how it's handled in North Carolina. Feds threatened denying Asheville's relief request because Trump opposed how the locals would spend the funds - arguing all while flood survivors camped in tents through the winter! And the General Assembly recently linked state hurricane relief funding to structural changes in governor/legislature relationship. While citizens huddle against cold and snow this isn't the time for partisan bickering in Raleigh.
This isn't going well in NC, so far.
Federal funds always come with guidelines. So this isn't new. BTW, the Biden administration had time to get this done and did not. They drug their feet and let these people suffer. FEMA personnel were told to avoid Trump supportors after the flood....we've already seen how it's handled in North Carolina. But, see this is someone's opinion, it's not based on reality, because we all know Biden drove the cart into the swamp and Trump had to get in and drive it out.
Except that's horseshit. But, see this is someone's opinion, it's not based on reality, because we all know Biden drove the cart into the swamp and Trump had to get in and drive it out.
That is so untrue here around Asheville. Where are you located? We worked alongside FEMA where Trump is popular and still volunteer at one of the kitchen sites they set up.FEMA personnel were told to avoid Trump supportors after the flood.

In certain respects your situation reminds me of what happened in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. The affected always seem to suffer because of government at all levels fails in the lead up to and performance of relief, usually over politics. The good news is people like you who do their best to relieve the suffering of others. But the bad news is the government you depend on to help in your support fail you....we've already seen how it's handled in North Carolina.
