Try as I may, I just cannot see any wisdom in Trump issuing such inane threats predicated on a murky and ill-defined "threat" red-line.

This sounds more like Kim Jong Un rhetoric than quotes from the president of the United States.
 
China needs to tug a little harder on Kimmy's leash before things in the Korean Peninsula turns into a nasty hairball.
 
If I were in North or South Korea right now I'd be fairly concerned about my safety this year.
 
The way it looks, one of two things is likely, A war with NK or, we must be willing to accept a nuclear armed NK capable of striking us, with a nutjob on the trigger.

Better then the attitude of indifference from Obama for the last 8 years. Kimmy needs to know that there's a new sheriff in town, and the sheriff is not going to put up with his ****.

i've got bad news for you. if Trump escalates this into a nuclear war with NK (and friends,) it won't much matter where you live. we have a president who probably hasn't read a history or military strategy book since he was forced to do so fifty years ago. about the best we that can hope for in a worst case scenario is that our military commanders will ignore insane orders. it's scary to have to depend on that last firewall.
 

As long as they are doing it to their own people, then why should we care?
 
I said months ago that at some point Trump will realize his only way to save his failed administration will be take us to war. Maybe Trump has found his way out.

I suppose I'd be worried if I was in NK too. Hell, I'm in the U.S. and I'm worried about the damage Trump is causing in the U.S.

Remarkable how similar to Kim Jong he sounds. Wait, that's not remarkable, it's the norm for Trump isn't it.

You mean the same bull**** that Kims father and his father before that pulled under Reagan and the Bushes? North Korea is isolated and pissing off China at the moment, so any BS from Trump and the US is unwanted and dangerous.

It is a game of chicken. Whoever flinches first will lose. Obviously I am rooting for our side. Trump is much more experienced and savvier than Kim.

I think we are headed for a perfect storm. Two unbalanced leaders and a very volatile situation.

I feel mostly for the South Koreans and our troops on the DMZ. God help them all.

NK has strings leading back to Russia and China. They see the U.S. a threat. I'm not sure from their perspective they are wrong.

North Korea should be concerned for its Safety, theyre threatening international superpowers with nuclear war.
