Trump says he is suing Twitter, Facebook, Google and CEOs Dorsey, Zuckerberg, Pichai

I just read that it is a "class action " lawsuit....so everyone who felt that they have been censored by this bunch will be jumping on board....I think its awesome!
Maybe Amazon is gonna rear end them in the next months and the ambulance chasers will be in their wheelhouse.

Once our Supreme Court rules that Twitter and Facebook and the Hannity message board can't ban us I say we go back over to the Hannity message board and tell the Mods to kiss our ass.

j/k
🙂

How much have you donated to this so far?

Just when you thought Trump could not be anymore insane, then again I am sure his followers will eat this up and champion this asinine lawsuit that will not get very far.

D

what specifically was your content and how and when did Fox censor it?
Dancing, they won’t show any of it, censorship I tell you sue them into the ground I am sure I can count on your support

On another board, after Donald Trump was elected, I kept posting "The Republican party is going to go much, much lower". I bet I posted that over 100 times.

They have never let me down all the way to an insurrection and an insane ex president.

And the Republican party is still going to go much, much lower.

In the category of stupidest lawsuits, the former president goes all in and is suing facebook, google and twitter for... get this... violations of the 1st amendment... LMAO...

Trump always says he is suing someone, and nothing ever comes of it.

And, we laugh.

A guy on another message board use to swear that he didn't think Donald Trump was worth a billion dollars. Not even one.

His theory was that billionaires don't run all these penny ante schemes. I've just been waiting for all the financial stuff to come out to see if he's broke or not.

What I don't understand is even if he's just worth 9 figures, why? Why is he nickel and diming every chance he get?

His mental make up makes no sense. He really wants to be liked you can see it but he does a lot of petty things that makes him so unlikable.

Good for Trump....the sorry ass, un-American Libs and Commies who run these companies need some suing!!!
Conservatives are all for private industry and the free market....until they aren't.....

Seriously.

Some thoughtful and rational people (both Dems & Republicans) quietly acknowledge that there needs to be a conversation on the matter of the First Amendment vs. Big Tech (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

The Internet is a relatively new way of communication. Some people feel that it may no longer be appropriate to compare the Internet to privately owned newspapers that can decide what to print and not to print. They point out that anyone can print a newspaper, but it is much more difficult to start one's own website. Furthermore, some people believe that maybe a monopoly comes into play here when discussing Big Tech.

I agree that Mr. Trump's lawsuit will fail (as will Florida's new law on the subject), but maybe in the long rule, such lawsuits may eventually lead to some kind of compromise so that no message board can ban a sitting President or, for that matter, doctors who have certain views about the current pandemic.

Do you know of others?
Yes.

So, when companies go before Congress and under oath state they will not censor political speech to retain their protection from lawsuits under section 230 but then go ahead and censor political speech, do you suppose someone is harmed by that action? Do you think there is a tort in there somewhere?

Or do you think saying something to Congress then doing the opposite should be allowed to stand? Like it or not, these sorts of questions get answered by the courts.

The fund raising has already started. Yet another Trump diversion of small dollar donations from Republican campaigns.

I believe that no speech should be prohibited on any platform and can not understand why it is.
No speech? So feel free to talk up the perks of pedophilia? There are limits to all things, and for privately owned sites like Facebook and Twitter and such, they can make the rules as to what they want up on their site.

LOL... There is NO first amendment right to a twitter, facebook or google account... He will be destroyed in court...
And yet that's where leftists are getting their information. They can read twitter for their news and sign off more ignorant than when they signed on.

Are you aware of their censorship? Covid was one great example of that.

I would love an explanation of how printing a newspaper is easier than create a website?

Should I be able to post death threats on any platform? What about posting pornography? Should that be allowed?

how would you feel if a huge interest like Facebook or Twitter or Google were to ban negative posts about Trump or abortion for example. Wouldn’t you howl?
If those posts were violating the TOS then any company is free to do as they see fit. If you do not like it do not do business with them.
