A TRADE AGREEMENT WITH MEXICO AND CANADA WHERE THE !ST REVIEW IS NOT SCHEDULED TO OCCUR UNTIL 2025
ANY ATTEMPT TO IMPOSE 20% TARIFFS ON ITS MEMBER STATES IS A DIRECT VIOLATION OF HIS OWN TRADE AGREEMENT
JUST LIKE HITLER'S SIGNATURE ON THE MUNICH AGREEMENT, APPARENTLY IN "TRUMPWORLD" SIGNED AGREEMENTS AMOUNT TO NOTHING MORE THAN "A SCRAP OF PAPER"


1) The United States - Mexico - Canada Agreement (USMCA) is a trade agreement among the 3 largest economies in North America and was intended to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that had been first implemented in 1994!

2) The union of the US, Mexico and Canada represents the globe's largest trade bloc, generates approximately 30% of the world's economy and provides North America's 3 most prominent nations with a venue to serve as a counterbalance to the economic impact of the European Union!

3) The USMCA was negotiated under the Trump Administration and went into effect on July 1sr 2020 - it contains "Dispute Settlement Mechanisms" and a "Sunset Clause!"

4) The USMCA's "Sunset Clause" proposes that this trade agreement extend for 16 years (2020 to 2036) with reviews scheduled at 6 year intervals (2026, 2032)!

5) Given that the USMCA review is not scheduled to occur until 2026, President Trump's threats to implement 20% tariffs directed at both his trade partners is an obvious violation of the agreement negotiated and signed during his first Administration!

6) IF PRESIDENT TRUMP CAN ARBITRARILY RENEGE ON HIS OWN SIGNED AGREEMENTS, THEN NO AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES IS WORTH THE PAPER ITS WRITTEN ON - THEY'RE ALL MERELY "SCRAPS OF PAPER!"

7) TRUMP'S DISDAIN FOR HONOURING SIGNED AGREEMENTS IS REMINISCENT OF HITLER PROVIDING BRITAIN'S PRIME MINISTER CHAMBERLAIN WITH THE SIGNED "MUNICH AGREEMENT" - A WRITTEN GUARANTEE THAT HE HAD NO FURTHER TERRITORIAL DEMANDS IN EUROPE - "PEACE IN OUR TIME!"

8) HITLER IS REPORTED TO HAVE DISMISSED THE "MUNICH AGREEMENT" WITH CHAMBERLAIN AS NOTHING MORE THAN "A SCRAP OF PAPER" - HE THEN ANNEXED THE REST OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA AND PROCEEDED TO INVADE POLAND IN 1939

9) TO HITLER'S SURPRISE, THE ALLIES WERE NO LONGER WILLING TO ACCEPT WRITTEN GUARANTEES, HAVING CONCLUDED THAT ANY FURTHER SIGNED AGREEMENTS WITH A COMPULSIVE "LIAR" WERE MEANINGLESS!

Australians are quietly worried. Being loudly worried is rare, and usually involves physical violence.

Odds are we can just wait out Trump's four years. But there is an obvious danger that after Trump, will come an administration very similar. Extrapolating "America first" more than four years on the future, actually suggests that Australia cancel its defense treaties, and does not take the US side in trade.

I'm in favor of Australian independence immediately. If rational government is restored in the US, they will forgive us. But if the US is ****ed forever, then the sooner we cut them loose the better. We have paid in lives and money, and if the US is no longer a good ally, then not another cent for them.

1) America has been a member of some form of a trade agreement with Canada and later Mexico since 1994 - the Clinton, GW Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden Administrations all honoured the terms iif these multi-national trades the agreements!

2) The US did experience a national security crisis in 2001 with 9/11, followed by years of military conflict in Afghanistan and Iraq - the trade agreement, however, remained intact and Canada sent its own military forces to Afghanistan in solidarity and as part of its NATO commitment that "AN ATTACK AGAINST ONE IS AB ATTACK AGAINST ALL!:

3) As in the previous trade pacts, the current "United State s- Mexico--Canada Agreement (USMCA)" negotiated and enacted under the 1st Trump Administration contains its DISPUTE SETTLEMENT MECHANISM - in addition, the terms of the "USMCA" is scheduled be reviewed every 6 years!

4)President-Elect Trump wound have us believe that -

- trade representatives from the Trump Administration were so incompetent as to negotiate and sign a deal that was bad bad for the US

- President Trump, the self-proclaimed "Great Negotiator" was too busy to take the time read the terns of the "USMCA" before signing off, otherwise he would have immediately realized that it was a bad deal

-- both Canada and Mexico simultaneously engaged in major unfair trade practices so great that they couldn't be resolved by the USMCA Conflict Resolution Mechanism, placing the whole Agreement in jeopardy

- these major unfair trade practices being conducted by both Canada and Mexico went totally undetected for 4 years by the Biden Administration and those federal government departments involved in trade

- Private Citizen Donald J Trump, however, would have us believe that only he was capable of detecting these grossly unfair trade practices being conducted by both Canada and Mexico

- these previously undetected trade violations were of such magnitude that America couldn't wait for the "USMCA" scheduled review in 2026 - it required that the US violate the terms of the Agreement once Trump became President, followed by penalizing his untrustworthy partners with a 20% tariff

- having dismantled the globe's largest trading partnership, leaving its 3 member nations isolated and forced to compete against the combined strength of the European Union, America will now find it necessary to make major investments to secure its previously largely unguarded 5,259 miles of international border with Canada - which provides ample opportunities for smuggling

- America must also redouble its efforts along its 1,973 miles of border with Mexico border, given that in addition to human smuggling, the 20% tariff provides an incentive to smuggle goods
- given the strained relations, it is questionable as to the degree of co-operation that will now exist between American border guards with their Canadian and Mexican counterparts

- the 20% tariff combined with a Trump withdrawal from NATO would result in Canada reassessing its military agreements with US which include
North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) - responsible for continental defense

Industrial Cooperation Agreements
Establishment of Integrated Lines of Communications to Ensure Logistical Support fpr the Armed Forces of both Armed Forces
Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA)

Oh, don't worry. Trump fully intends to MORE than redouble it's efforts regarding the Mexico border...and it won't be because of the USMCA. It'll be because the Biden pukes totally screwed things up on that border.

Canada will do whatever Canada thinks it's best for them to do.

Personally, I don't think they'll do what YOU think they'll do.
