Word salad. His chosen language.Anyone know what he is talking about here?
ACT (Air Traffic Control) and IRS have the two most old obsolete systems that just begs for more modernization. More computer automation and less human interaction. I remember when computers use to make mistakes, now only humans do.
OK to spend money IF it's cheaper in the long run. but that a big IF because a lot can go wrong.More money.
Safety upgrades to the nation's air traffic control aren't made rapidly by 4 techies !!!! This is scary stuff if Musk is allowed access to those systems.“With the support of President @realDonaldTrump, the @DOGE team will aim to make rapid safety upgrades to the air traffic control system,”
My guess is he will farm the work out to Elon by EO or some other measure, thus avoiding the process of bidding the work out.Sounds like he is going to outsource air traffic control to Musk and get those 4 kids to write the code.......seriously! Holy hell!!!
"Elon Musk has pledged to deploy his “DOGE” cost-cutting squad inside the innards of America’s air traffic control system, promising Wednesday to “make rapid safety upgrades” to the complex web of software, hardware, facilities and people that keep planes from crashing into each other.
“With the support of President @realDonaldTrump, the @DOGE team will aim to make rapid safety upgrades to the air traffic control system,” Musk posted to his social media platform X. Musk’s comment came shortly after Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy posted that he’d spoken to DOGE and that the squad plans to “plug in” to the air traffic control system to help make unspecified upgrades to unknown systems."
Damn right. Doing something like that through DOGE is recklessOK to spend money IF it's cheaper in the long run. but that a big IF because a lot can go wrong.
Trump never said anything about DOGE fixing the ATC system. I would think Boeing would be the ones to do this.Damn right. Doing something like that through DOGE is reckless
Anyone know what he is talking about here? I know we have some aviation types here. 39 different companies “piece together” our present system?
Who pays?Nothing like having young minions raiding the governments data AND "upgrading" aviation systems. I mean, they have 120 hours in a week right?
You'll have to talk to Duffy, Sec. of Transportation.Trump never said anything about DOGE fixing the ATC system. I would think Boeing would be the ones to do this.
All of us?Who pays?
What about, OK to spend money IF it's safer on the long run?OK to spend money IF it's cheaper in the long run. but that a big IF because a lot can go wrong.
That sounds like an excellent ideaTransportation Secretary Sean Duffy posted that he’d spoken to DOGE and that the squad plans to “plug in” to the air traffic control system to help make unspecified upgrades to unknown systems."
