I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security.
At some point the Democrats not wanting to make a deal will cost our Country more money than the Border Wall we are all talking about. Crazy!

As I remember it, DACA was another deal Trump agreed to then backed out of due to pressure from the media wingnuts.

Dems wanted 700,000 and Trump came back with 1.8 million if I recall. That caught them off guard so they had to find other reasons to kill the deal.


Earlier this year, Trump extended Democrats a remarkable offer: Instead of simply granting legal status to current DACA recipients, he would agree to a path to citizenship for nearly 2 million “dreamers” — those who were brought to the United States as children through no fault of their own — if Democrats would agree to fund his border wall, limit chain migration and get rid of the visa lottery system. It was a bold move, one that earned him scorn from many in his own base. Democrats should have seized this opportunity. Instead, they rejected it and refused to make a serious counter*offer. Their actions showed they care more about mobilizing voters in 2018 with faux outrage than they do about helping actual dreamers become American citizens.

Honesty is not the best policy in politics. Best to remain solidly for, or at present carefully considering, all three sides of a given "issue" and yet somewhat against it under certain circumstances. When asked for a specific policy position simply reply that several detailed solutions are currently under careful consideration and that which, among those viable, cost effective and detailed solutions, has been settled on will likely be announced very soon.

It's just past time for Democrats and the corporatists to admit that they want open borders and couldn't care less about either the fiscal or security concerns of the American taxpayer. Try googling "Trump daca deal". All kinds of hits. Most saying Trump offered something like 1.2million Dreamers and Dems said no.

Try to find a precise definition of "dreamer" in any of those "DACA deal" hits. Obviously, it had to differ from the current definition since it was said to apply to at least twice as many folks. Many of the ideas (policy positions or bills) that Trump babbles about (using many disjointed sentence fragments) or promises to support simply do not exist in any detailed form.
