President Donald Trump played a key role in silencing porn star Stormy Daniels and model Karen McDougal, who both claimed to have had affairs with the president. Media executive David Pecker met with Trump multiple times to discuss using the National Enquirer tabloid to buy the silence of women he allegedly slept with, according to a new report from The Wall Street Journal. The publication said it spoke to three dozen people with direct knowledge of the payments. The U.S. Attorneys Office in Manhattan now has evidence of Trump’s role in the hush payments, according to the WSJ. He previously denied having knowledge about the payments. In October 2016, when discussing making a payment to Daniels, Trump told his then-attorney Michael Cohen to “get it done.”

I distinctly remember the press questions to Trump and his replies on April 5, 2018 aboard Air Force One.....

Trump: "No."
Q: "Then why did Michael -- why did Michael Cohen make this payment if there was no truth too the allegations?"

But in this particular case, could you imagine how Republicans would have reacted, had it turned out Obama had ****ed porn stars and paid them hush money...

Donald's problem is the base is still the base.....not a sliver larger while Independents abandon him in droves.

To have broken the grip of "Its the Economy stupid" is a stunning bit of comment on Trump popularity. it also suggests that no matter how hard Trump tries to take total credit for the current economic boom, voters neither think it will last long nor that he is as responsible for it as he insists he is. They are right on both scores.

Mueller and his team likely already have what they need in this case, which may be small potatoes compared to other possible legal threats Trump (jr, and others in his little circle) faces.

Unless Cohen took that money right out of the campaign coffers, there were no laws broken,.
