(Whoops! Poll questions had too many characters, could not edit in time for 5 minute limit to submit poll)

You can smell his desperation now, and it stinks!

Since when are liberals opposed to free stuff?

Only someone who has not been paying attention, or has, and doesn't care, would react the way you have.
"Whattaboutism" does nothing to deal with what that barely visible red line at the bottom of the graph represents. The combined wealth of three
billionaires is greater than the combined wealth of 166 million Americans, and Trump is perfectly willing to put them further in debt if it helps him "win".

Keep on reflexively defending the wealthiest who own all of the influence and blame everyone else, who have little to none, and never wonder about the investments made in influencing you to think the way you think!

Who do you anticipate will attend your funeral, the wealthiest who won't shed a tear on the occasion of your
passing, or the people who work to provide most services, the ones who the wealthiest purchase the political influence of, without most of them even being aware their representation in Washington was co-opted?

Think about how absurd your POV is, how absurd the 2017 tax cut was, doubling the amount of annual US debt accumulation, the majority of the cut going to those who already own 84 percent of all stock shares, the same people who can afford to donate enough to direct the sliver of capitol activity that has been republican legislative "action" lead by McConnell.

Were the owners of 84 percent of the stock close to being the sole beneficiaries of the corporate tax rate cut, as well as the main beneficiaries of the individual tax cuts. Now, Trump makes an empty threat to give those who bought the tax cuts, $3400 per household, funds borrowed from everyone's future? How does that stimulate the economy? The tax cuts did not, and the corporate tax cuts resulted in $2 trillion in stock buy backs, not in job "creation" or in capital investment.

The year before Trump signed the tax cuts legislation, the national debt increased only $671 billion.
Consider that the annual debt increase had grown to $1.2 trillion before the pandemic strangled the economy...

The Dems had the bill set-to-go in May. It's the Republicans that have twiddled their fingers.

Trump has been saying this in news conferences and interviews for weeks, just like Pelosi says it is Trump's fault.

This is not new news or any kind of pony give away.

Trump lies every time he speaks.

GOPs only discover the deficit when a Democrat becomes President, such as 1/20/2009.

Re: Trump Panics:"promising everyone a pony" borrowing from your grandchildren to bribe voters?

So lemme get this straight. Now the GOP wants to send free sh!t to everyone and the Dems don't?

And those lifelong conservatives who think everyone should pull themselves up by the bootstraps just can't wait to dip into the trump honeypot?

Oh the irony.

Alrighty! It follows, from your comments quoted above, that it should not inconvenience you to post links to web pages displaying quotes of Trump declaring, in July or August, his intent to send every household $3400 and send money (not loans) to "state and local governments to save jobs", (i.e., pay salaries) of "Police, Firefighters, First Responders, and Teachers..."

Just one day earlier, Trump stated:

Whitehouse.gov[h=1]
Remarks by President Trump in Press Briefing | August 13, 2020[/h] Issued on: August 13, 2020
.......

Q Just taking a step back, one quick follow-up. Given that the negotiations are still ongoing about whether to get more money to the Postal Service, why not put more resources and more money, yourself — find a way to do that to make sure there is a free and fair election?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, they can do it very easily. All they have to do is make a deal. If they make a deal, the Postal Service is taken care of, the money they need for the mail-in ballots would be taken care of — if we agree to it. That doesn’t mean we’re going to agree to it. But all they have to do is make a deal. But again, more important to them is not that. That’s a lot of money, but a small time compared to the other. What they want to do — and very — very, very strongly what they want to do is bail out cities that are run by Democrats and have been for many years. And these cities and states have done very badly, and they desperately need money for that.

And we’re open to something, but we’re not open to the kind of money that they need.

Go ahead, please.....

Hey, Mitch McConnell — Have you seen your state’s pension fund lately? - MarketWatch

Hey, Mitch McConnell — Have you seen your state's pension fund lately...

The state government just put too little into the pension every year. "We were 'negative cash flow' for 17 years," he says. Eager, to be clear, came from the private sector and only took ...

Do you really want links to Trump's Executive Orders that covers a good portion of the Democratic House's PORK bill?

Why the hell does Pelosi demand another $25 - $50 million for the Kennedy Center? They got $25 million last time.

If the Kennedy center cannot stay afloat on their own - file bankruptcy, close the damn place and save the taxpayers an additional $50 million.

And the dem House bill is filled with all other kinds of pork.

The bill should contain money directly related to stimulus bill only. Nothing else.

What desperation?

He's trying to drum up public support to pressure Dems in Congress.

Are stimulus payments not an important issue? Should he be more lax about this, and just let it flow?

President’s have no control over deficits and debt.

So, what would be your plan?

Re: Trump Panics:"promising everyone a pony" borrowing from your grandchildren to bribe voters?

President’s have no control over deficits and debt.

Except when their name is Obama. He was directly blamed by the GOP for the deficit of February 2009, as well as the 800,000 Americans that lost their jobs that month.

False-equivalency and Dishonesty are hallmarks of today’s GOP gone Qanon. President Debauchery’s admin makes the National Enquirer proud.

Do you ever post more than one line?

The Dems have been willing to deal two months ago, the Repubs had no Bill and what they presented was not going to be acceptable. The Dems came down 1 Trillion USD from their package and the Repubs are not willing to go up hardly at all and don't want to help any States that are losing revenue at high rates. Those are Facts, not speculation and not partisan, just the facts. Tell your Repub Reps to get off their butts and get the Bill done, settle on real number for unemployment number try $400, meet the Dems in the middle on support for the States, fund the USPS, and try meeting closer to the middle on the other issues, then a Bill will get passed, not before. The longer the GOP waits the more voter support they are losing, so either they don't grasp that or they don't care because they know they have already lost, either way they need to be held accountable.

Re: Trump Panics:"promising everyone a pony" borrowing from your grandchildren to bribe voters?

President’s have no control over deficits and debt.

Nonsense, a President has to sign spending Bills for them to be enacted. Good Grief don't you think the President is responsible for anything?

A president doesn’t control spending. If he fails to sign a spending bill or budget he can be overridden by the Congress. I suggest you learn about the responsibilities and authority held by each branch of government. It’s pretty basic stuff.

Oh he isn't hiding out. He just nailed McGrath to the wall on her racism and sent her scurrying for a new campaign manager hoping the last one will suffice as the fall guy as if she has a chance of winning

Re: Trump Panics:"promising everyone a pony" borrowing from your grandchildren to bribe voters?

The Dems have been willing to deal two months ago,...

They have not. They want it all their way. They made demands they knew could not be met. Besides, we don’t need more spending. We need to lift these irrational restrictions and get people back to work.

Re: Trump Panics:"promising everyone a pony" borrowing from your grandchildren to bribe voters?

Go google where Obama got his 700 Billion to fund Obamacare and get back with us

Ah, so the Right only wanted a Big Government spender like Obama and a cheater like Bill Clinton to call their own. Thanks for being honest about it.
