Trump on climate change report: 'I don't believe it'

A serious person would define "he".

Not U I C

If only that happened on a more regular basis.

But it is not just fraud in the sense of pure liars that is the problem, it is often those who claim to know for sure things that are not true.

Well, the left already knows the solutions to "climate change" (let alone that the climate is always changing).

1. The rest of the world knows that the solution is to cripple U.S. companies from competing with countries around the globe.
2. The domestic terrorists (the left) knows that raising taxes will stop climate change and leave us with a stable climate forever.

This is not so much about the Left as it is "Do we follow the so-called experts here when they have failed us so many times lately and are claiming to understand how the Earth Operates in just a few years when it usually takes many generations to understand something so complex in the best of circumstances.....and this in the context of our very corrupt society that includes the scientists who decided to not measure up (**** them!)......or do we wait for more evidence and in the meantime get ready to deal with an angry Mother Nature if we must?".

That was so stunningly and idiotically wrong and hyper partisan, that it could have only come from you:roll:

Yeah when it comes to not having a clue, your cluelessness is classically you....

Ah, the weak minded always resort to the personal attacks, since they have nothing in the tank. Thanks for confirming where you fall.

Persoanl attack? When you post blatantly false information, it's pretty obviously a stupid post, and, again, are you aware of what you post even?

Thank you, I'll take that as a compliment.

4 pages and no one has objectively explained to me how the report is wrong to elicit such a response from Trump.

I guess feelings > facts?

That is how it was supposed to work but America is a very corrupt place now, and the Universities have failed.

And I know how often so-called experts have either lied to me, or else been completely wrong....usually after they had claimed to be sure.

This whole global warming or global cooling nonsense has been going on for centuries. And this latest doomsday evaluation is merely
trying to get more funding for what has become a cottage industry.

When Robert Frost wrote, “Some say the world will end in fire / Some say in ice,” he could have been thinking about historic predictions
of climate disasters. Those who foresee a climate apocalypse have alternated between fears of hot and cold since the late 1800s.

New York Times, February 24, 1895:

“The question is again being discussed whether recent and long-continued observations do not point to the advent of a second
glacial period, when the countries now basking in the fostering warmth of a tropical sun will ultimately give way to the perennial
frost and snow of the polar regions.” A subhead on the article noted: “Geologists Think the World May Be Frozen Up Again.”

New York Times, May 15, 1932:

“NEXT GREAT DELUGE FORECAST BY SCIENCE / Melting Polar Ice Caps to Raise the Level of Seas and Flood the Continents”

Washington Post, January 11, 1970:

Headline: “Colder Winters Held [sic] Dawn of New Ice Age / Scientists See Ice Age In the Future”
“Get a grip on your long johns, cold weather haters – the worst may be yet to come. That’s the long-range weather
forecast being given out by ‘climatologists,’ the people who study very long-term world weather trends….
“Ice floes will continue to close in around Iceland; glaciers in the Pacific northwest will grow; there will be major
changes in farming patterns – and colder late season football games.”

Throughout the 1970s, the news media, citing the reports of scientists, warned us that we were
headed into a new Ice Age. A small sampling of the headlines, taken from a longer list compiled by Popular Technology:

Is Mankind Manufacturing a New Ice Age for Itself? (L.A. Times, January 15, 1970)
Scientist predicts a new ice age by 21st century (Boston Globe, April 16, 1970)
U.S. Scientist Sees New Ice Age Coming (The Washington Post, July 9, 1971)
Ice Age Around the Corner (Chicago Tribune, July 10, 1971)
New Ice Age Coming – It’s Already Getting Colder (L.A. Times, October 24, 1971)

Science: Another Ice Age? (Time Magazine, November 13, 1972)

And one crackpot added Man-Made into the mix:
‘Man-made Ice Age’ Worries Scientists (The Free Lance-Star, June 22, 1973)

It will never end gullible people eat this garbage up as now the pendulum has sprung back

It will never end gullible people eat this garbage up as now the pendulum has sprung back
to Global Warming

1. That very old data in no way refutes modern climate change studies, or these massive report Trump was talking about.

2. There was no major consensus on a modern Ice Age. A vast majority of papers since the 1970s accurately predicted the warming we are seeing.

https://www.skepticalscience.com/ice-age-predictions-in-1970s.htm
https://www.carbonbrief.org/analysis-how-well-have-climate-models-projected-global-warming

3. I would prefer you use modern peer reviewed papers to refute the Study and not conspiracy blogs that offer zero direct data, much less ones with Exxon and Koch funding.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/capital-research-center/

Notes: Capital Research Center (CRC) is a non-profit, right wing “think tank” organization located in Washington, D.C. Capital Research Center was founded in 1984 by Willa Johnson. Prior to founding CRC, Johnson had been Senior Vice President of the Heritage Foundation, which is a conservative think tank with a mixed record reporting facts. The Capital Research Center uses minimal loaded words and typically sources to credible information. The one area where CRC reports questionable information is on the topic of climate change where they reject the consensus of experts in the field. Some of their top donors are Exxon-Mobile and Koch Industries. Overall, we rate CRC as right biased based on political affiliation and Mixed for factual reporting based on rejection of scientific evidence. (M. Huitsing 8/28/2017)

Facts are not on your side. Refute the federal study or admit Trump was wrong.

Projections like this are nearly useless in this society now because of both dishonesty and incompetence on the part of the so-called experts.

They tend to be imaginations more than anything else.

At their worst they are pure propaganda.

Are you talking about Trump or a report by his government’s scientists?

Well, the left already knows the solutions to "climate change" (let alone that the climate is always changing).

1. The rest of the world knows that the solution is to cripple U.S. companies from competing with countries around the globe.
2. The domestic terrorists (the left) knows that raising taxes will stop climate change and leave us with a stable climate forever.

You for example have Sweden and Denmark that ranks very high on Forbes best country for business list.

https://www.forbes.com/best-countries-for-business/list/#tab:overall

There Sweden implemented a carbon tax as early as 1995 and is one of the world's most sustainable countries,.

https://info.esg.adec-innovations.c...worlds-most-sustainable-country-top-5-reasons

Sweden also past bipartisan legislation to be carbon neutral by 2045.

https://unfccc.int/news/sweden-plans-to-be-carbon-neutral-by-2045

While Denmark got 43 percent of their electricity from wind power in 2017 and also plan to meet 50 percent of all their energy needs with renewable energy by 2030 is on seventh place.

https://www.rte.ie/news/newslens/2018/0111/932573-denmark-wind-farm/

In the US, two thirds of Americans give priority to developing renewables over fossil fuel and also wanted US to stay in the Paris accord.

Most in US say alternative energy takes priority over fossil fuels

https://www.theatlantic.com/science...upport-staying-in-the-paris-agreement/528663/

While even Republican coal states like Indiana is abandoning coal for cheaper renewable energy.

Trump on climate change report: 'I don't believe it'

Oh boy, here we go again lol. Is President Trump trolling or is he actually serious? Why do facts all of a sudden not matter? Why do popular conservatives like to say "Facts don't care about your feelings", but forget this thinking when it comes to a lot of scientific consensus?

Trump ignorance of the scientific facts have real political consequences. Like for example that he wants to spend billions of dollars on propping up coal plants.

https://www.economist.com/graphic-d...save-americas-failing-coal-fired-power-plants

Trump also plan to nominate a former coal lobbyist as administrator of EPA:

When have facts ever mattered to Trump? He's a Corporate-Statist. Everything he wants to do is to unchain his corporate buddies, it's why he's turned the EPA into the mess it is now. He won't acknowledge climate change because he doesn't care about it. He cares that he and his ilk make profit, no matter the cost.

Before the University failed and before journalism failed and before we did such a crap job of parenting as we do now.

Yeah, that answers the question. You're posts are all a fluff and no substance.

I'm pretty sure he is serious.

Why do facts all of a sudden not matter?
BWAHAHAHA :lamo

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Trump doesn't give a **** about facts. As to other deniers, unfortunately climate change was politicized a long time ago. As a result the deniers are incredibly resistant to any amount of facts presented.

Why do popular conservatives like to say "Facts don't care about your feelings", but forget this thinking when it comes to a lot of scientific consensus?
1) It's a partisan issue. As a result, they aren't interested in facts.

2) Dealing with climate change requires policies that are nominally anathema to conservatives -- e.g. regulation, subsidizing new technologies, de-emphasizing fossil fuels, and so on. Of course, doing so requires ignoring the existing regulations, subsidies and other policies that favor huge corporations that donate to conservative organizations and Republicans (*cough* Koch, Exxon *cough*). So it goes.

3) Until very recently, the impacts of climate change were almost exclusively in the future. It's only been in the past few years that we've started to see climate change having a detectable impact; the days of saying "that was a bad hurricane, but we can't say for sure it was made worse by climate change" are over. Thus, the costs to denying climate change were relatively low until very recently. As the impacts grow, it might become more difficult to deny the science, although that's not a given.

Yeah, that answers the question. You're posts are all a fluff and no substance.

If that is your honest call then why are are wasting time on me?

Move Along Please.
