Trump jumps into bed with Putin

Trump is comfortable with a regime that currently occupies parts of Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.

The Kremlin’s Candidate

Putin is comfortable with a Donald Trump who is little different than a billionaire Russian oligarch.

No doubt the Russians hacked Hillarys server and Putin will help his buddy Trump out this October with some 'anonymous' leaks from those deleted 'yoga' emails

Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova should be Europe's problem to deal with. It's not like the current American president, or the Euro leadership have the balls to stop him anyways.

Sounds to me like real good judgement on Trump's part. Putin's only evil in the USA/CIA public relations "narrative" and pretty well liked and respected by the rest of the World.

You couldn't be more wrong

It's much worse.

Trump doesn't have a lot of advisers, but the ones he's chosen have ties to Putin. And his main political operative he hired worked for Yanukovich - Putins puppet in Ukraine.

You misspelled it. It should be "better".

Russia has its own self-interests and Putin is a Russian patriot doing what'ts good for Russia. Would you like Russia to deploy their weapons in Canada or Cuba? That we your government did by expanding NATO all the way to Russia's doorstep.

Almost forgot: would you like the Russian navy in the Gulf of Mexico? If not, what the f*** is yours doing in the Baltic Sea?

Killary Rotten Clinton jumps in bed with Wall Street !

What exactly is "Expanding NATO", other than getting countries, and incidentally the people, on the path of getting out from under the Russian boot of mismanagement, crime, poverty, and imprisonment for "wrong ideas".

While satellite states may be formally independent, they are controlled by the central government in Russia. If the relationship was like our relationship with Canada, that is one thing. But the relationship of a satellite state is one of being a war trophy.

Russia may have valid historical reasons for wanting to hold it's neighbors as prisoners, but that does not make it right.

NATO is as much a life line to an independent future as it is a mutual defense agreement.

Trump jumps into bed with Putin?

Did Putin need to lie down after Obama finished pleasing him?

Various countries impose various sanctions on Russia in response to Russia's actions in various parts of the world, and yet continue to trade with them.

Seems kinda of schizophrenic and inconsistent when compared to the positions previously taken during the cold war, and yet, many are calling for a new cold war, or the resumption of the last one, due to this new phase of Russian behavior.

Yep. Sounds like a job for the UN

The good news is that Trump will get to use the Obama defense--he inherited the problem. Its not Trumps fault he inherited a mess from the failed Obama Administration. Nothing that could possible go wrong in a Trump presidency will ever be his fault. How great is that?

Darn

I misinterpreted the title of the thread, I thought it was porn!!:2razz:

Good morning, Fletch. :2wave:

That is so cool I wish I could get away with that!

This will be as much a cop out answer during the Trump administration as it was during the Obama administration.

Does anyone else believe Trump has some personality defect that will not allow him to admit and apologize for mistakes? Other than his first marriage breakup, I have never witnessed him apologize and look sincere while doing it. I say this nonpartisan, its a trait which I recognized in him long before he joined the election. To prove it's non partisan GW and Obama have both admitted errors, one who does not, and is in a position of authority scares the hell out of me.

How disappointing, no hanky panky going on?

What makes you think it is so? I know you posted an article, but...

Of course it will. But that doesn't change the fact that liberals are still blaming Bush even after 8 years of Obama. What they don't get is how doing so is an admission of what a failure Obama has been.

I'd agree with you on both counts.

I am a rather "mature" Cold War warrior, and have since realized that Communism is the not the boogeyman any longer, if ever it was. However, perhaps because I base my opinion on history, Russia has a 500 years of it's borders changing, often thru force. I shudder when I think of the USA and NATO shrinking it's presence in Europe. No one should be shocked if Russia does not respect it's neighbors borders!!

Unlike the US which so very much respected its own Southern states and their desire to go separate, Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Panama, Granada, Lebanon, Serbia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan. How many millions died as a result of the US military adventures in comparison to those by the USSR or Russia?

More people die any given weekend in Chicago than in the "takeover" of Crimea, where not a shot was fired during the very peaceful and legal process of re-unification through self-determination, the US so much likes elsewhere.
