Trump had a 4%-lead nationally on election night (51-47).
But in the end, with most mail-states (who lean heavily D) finishing their count soon, Trump's national lead has been cut from 4% to 1.5% ...
This is not ideal.
In my opinion, all votes should be counted on election day, or the day after.
California and Co. shouldn't be allowed to count votes for 5 weeks after election day. They should be mandated by the Supreme Court to change their election laws, so that all votes are counted immediately on election day and the day after.

Trump cheated. He stole the election.More than 153 million votes are now counted.
California has almost all their votes counted, but around 1 million still is left there.
And in all other states, maybe another 1-2 million are left.
States have until December 11 to finish counting and release their official results to Congress, for the vote of the electoral college.
As @OlNate said in post #119, if Trump does not get a majority of voters, that's good (from an anti-Trump perspective). So what? Lots of Presidents have been elected with less than 50%.

How exactly are you seeing that the country is more liberal than conservative. Trump not only received more votes then the liberal candidate the right has control of the house and the senate. Its obvious that Trump is "really" the president. That's not what I am talking about at all. That's the legal situation we must endure and we will do that.
What it means is that the country is still, on balance, more liberal than conservative and that is the basis in which liberals can move forward and with cultural support as roadblocks are put up against the new administration's agenda. There is a lot of power in that, even if its not measurable in a legality sense.
Over the last 20 years, my stances has been the case when you look at issue polling. How exactly are you seeing that the country is more liberal than conservative. Trump not only received more votes then the liberal candidate the right has control of the house and the senate.
Sounds like rather take an honest look at your positions and how America feels about those issues you would just prefer to live in denial.
Besides not really making any sense it didn’t actually address my post at all.Over the last 20 years, my stances has been the case when you look at issue polling.
It makes completely sense. When you poll voters on individual issues, liberal policies win out almost every single time.Besides not really making any sense it didn’t actually address my post at all.
Is that the whole denial thing happening again.
Then you weren’t trying to listen.Besides not really making any sense it didn’t actually address my post at all.

No it literally does not. It’s a bit of a word salad. It makes completely sense. When you poll voters on individual issues, liberal policies win out almost every single time.
Yes I was. It was just a very poorly constructed sentence. Then you weren’t trying to listen.
You can count early and mail in as they come in.In my opinion, all votes should be counted on election day, or the day after.
Yes I was. It was just a very poorly constructed sentence.
And it still doesn’t explain how Trump winning the popular vote and the right taking over the house and the senate proves that the country leans more liberal than conservative. Which is what I was asking you.
No it’s a rather poorly constructed sentence.Pretty easy to understand his assertion. Our government is skewed toward the right, structurally, so that it disguises the wants of the average American.
No it literally does not. It’s a bit of a word salad.
And when you dive deeper into those issues like asking them if they are willing to pay for those policies, the support disappears.
People love “free” shit. Most people don’t support paying more for that “free” shit.
And even more voted against Kamala.Which means a majority of American voters voted against Trump.
LolNo it’s a rather poorly constructed sentence.
But more importantly it didn’t even address my post which he was responding to.
And no our government is not skewed to the right structurally. That’s just silly.
It's good that you can find refuge in trivial things like a popular vote percentage. You've found your safe space. As @OlNate said in post #119, if Trump does not get a majority of voters, that's good (from an anti-Trump perspective).
The Orange Asshat can't brag that the majority of voters voted for him. His stating that he has a mandate is more outrageous in that context.
It's a minor thing. But, I'll take it if that's the way the final vote turns out.
Anything bad for Trump is good.
That is not the post I was saying was word salad and you know it. Why play silly games.None of that was a word salad. "Voters overwhelmingly prefer nearly all liberal policies" is as straightforward a statement as a person can make.
Such as?
Georgia has a runoff law for all elected offices except the president. If no candidate receives 50% plus one vote, the top two finishers go to a runoff election to be held 3 weeks after election day. The last runoff was between Walker and Warnock for the senate seat here in Georgia in the 2022 midterms.Yes, because of the electoral college.
In France though, Trump would now face a 2nd round runoff election with Harris though - because he dropped below 50%.
Yeah I am not surprised you have nothing but snark. It’s all you really ever can manage.Lol
God bless you
The response I gave was sufficient and addressed your point.Yes I was. It was just a very poorly constructed sentence.

No it absolutely did not. But if you want to pretend I really don’t careThe response I gave was sufficient and addressed your point.
