President Trump plans to fire several top officials in the national security sphere should he win reelection in November, Axios reported Sunday.
The president plans to fire Defense Secretary Mark Esper, CIA Director Gina Haspel and FBI Director Christopher Wray, two people familiar with his decisionmaking told the news outlet. White House officials declined to comment on personnel matters.

"We have no personnel announcements at this time nor would it be appropriate to speculate about changes after the election or in a 2nd term," White House spokesman Judd Deere told Axios.

Didn't he just hire these people?

They are not loyal enough to him. He needs sycophants

I cannot remember any President having the turnover in top positions than what President Trump has had. The people fired are ones he recruited and hired. Makes me really question his leadership and judgement.

yawn...

More unnamed sources. But hey, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to predict that certain people who have a record of working AGAINST their President are liable to get the boot.

Why is this a newsworthy story?

How are those people working against the president?

Esper didn't want to let Trump have soldiers attack American civilians.

There's never been a president who had this many bureaucrats working against him. It's a shame those people forgot their oath and who they work for.

They work for the president. Absolutely they should be loyal to the people's elected representive in the Executive Banch. It's literally their ****ing job.

What does that have to do with the turnover in the positions he appointed? The turn over has little to do with "bureaucrats working against him"
"As of May 25, 2020, there have been 415 unique names dismissed and/or resigned. "

Trump gets rid of his own people on a whim. Seems to me the numbers indicate that Trump does not know how to select good people.

Just what I said. He's draining the swamp. Of course heads are going to roll.

Fire em all. Lock em all up. After the election, he will have more flexibility to negotiate with Putin, or so Obama said.

Here's one of them...

Refusing to burn her sources by revealing fabricated Russian disinformation because a Republican senator wants to use the information for partisan reasons is her job, and she is not working against Trump by doing so.

Draining the swamp of people he selected and appointed. These were not hold over people or people who have been in DC for a long time.

He's had four years and multiple tries to drain the swamp. Perhaps Trump is simply not capable of draining the swamp? Perhaps we should elect someone who is?

We have nothing to worry about. There isn't going to be any second term. Americans are lining up in a hurry to get rid of Trump.

Never again can we allow the intellectually challenged chose our President. Those with apathy and/or indecision learned their lesson in 2016, and, unlike four years ago, Sanders supporters are on board this time. In 2016, q good many of them voted for Trump.

Trump is a child.

Supported by Southern "men".

Hundreds of thousands of people have died, and all Republicans care about is appointing conservative judges and protecting trump's feelings. If trump wins re-election we're going to be a Venezuela with concentration camps in 2-3 years.

She doesn't get to make that call.

He has the desire to end democracy & become president for life, like Putin & Xi.

The swamp is the only place he has to draw from. Of course he's going to have to cull the goats from the sheep.

Sources of "fabricated Russian disinformation" shouldn't be protected. They should be charged with crimes. Especially when the President tells her to declassify such information. She's not only disobeying her boss, she is obstructing Congress. SHE should consider herself lucky if she's just fired.

Well, there you go...the answer to everything...COVID, COVID, COVID.

How are those people working against the president?
Did Chris Wray tell Trump of the damming material on the Hunter laptop?
