I don't know what to make of thee people. You gotta know you're going to get caught eventually right?

A veteran Republican fund-raiser who also owns a defense contracting firm, Mr. Broidy had seemed positioned to become a highly influential figure in a political hierarchy that was upended by Mr. Trump’s victory.

In other words, he wanted to be part of the swamp and Trump screwed him out of it by getting elected.

LOL!!

LOL!!

Wrong again Mycroft.

Keep reading. Broidy is an associate of Trmump”s and then jumped onto Trump’s bandwagon...perfect place for a criminal republican.
Trump also had the goods on Broidy, remember that Cohen, Trumps Special Counsel, paid off Broidy’s mistress for their love child.

Its a regularly criminal organization at this point.

In other words, he wanted to be part of the swamp

Are the words confusing you? From the link:

Mr. Broidy, who pleaded guilty in 2009 in an unrelated pension fund bribery case,

He was part of the swamp.

is one of several Trump associates

Which, as we've seen from all the indictments, is almost a requirement to be a Trump associate.

and Trump screwed him out of it by getting elected.

From the link:

After Mr. Trump’s election, Mr. Broidy marketed his connection to the new administration to politicians, businessmen and governments around the world, including some with unsavory records, and won big contracts for his defense firm.

How the heck is winning big contracts "getting screwed?" Which of those words is confusing you?

From the link:

Mr. Broidy “indicated to Michel that although he was willing to assist Jho Low, he would not take any compensation directly from Jho Low in exchange for his services,” according to the filings. They indicate that Mr. Broidy “wanted $15 million in compensation, but Michel negotiated the price down to approximately $8 million.”

How is using his connections to make $8 million "getting screwed"?

But I will grant you that Trump does like to screw people over, no doubt about that. Especially people who he thinks he can outsmart. Like his base:

Donald Trump declares 'I love the poorly educated'

$25 million settlement finalized in Trump University lawsuit

Oh the irony.

He wanted more. He wanted direct influence and he didn't get it. So he settled for the next best thing...getting people to THINK he had influence that he didn't have.

Sure. He made some money from suckers. If Trump hadn't screwed him by getting elected, he would have more.

Anyway, now he just might lose it all and go to jail. Oh well...
