Trump Falsely Accuses the New Times of Making Up a Source

The California primary is OPEN...All party candidates on same ballot. Top 2 go on. 2 GOP candidates, 16 Democrats. Unless there is massive voter education seems 2 GOP's will get 2 top spots.

It's a crappy primary system.

Actually, it's all on video. Trump should not be tweeting without adult supervision. LOL.

Trump is calling his own press conferences fake news now. Hehe.
That's exactly what it is! ****ing amazing!

I think the exchanges in this thread confirm that there can be no actual debate with Trump's holsters. They eagerly and repeatedly put their mouths
where no self respecting individual ever would. The best a reasonable person can do is hold the truth up in the proximity of their oral worship of the one
it seems cannot be denied by them, because it is not possible to hold these poorly educated witnesses, deaf and blind on 5th Avenue, to the truth...

Looking ahead....Trump's days are numbered, his age, physical condition, fragile mental and emotional stability, and what he will be challenged
with going forward, are all working against him, but apdst and his ilk will still be here....
Too bad we can't limit Trump posters at DP to two "terms" ...

Decades of life in the tabloid circuit has granted him an uncanny instinct for hacking the public's minds. He knows that all he has to do create the hype and it will take hold. He works on a dishonest but effective strategy: it wouldn't be in the news if it weren't at least partly true.

Using this logic, we are all complicit in this. Every time we debunk a conspiracy theory, we are by reason confirming its veracity. After all, if it weren't true, we wouldn't be talking about it.

This tactic can be thought of as malware. It's brutally effective, we have no defenses against it and an anti-malware update has yet to be created. Ignoring it the only effective strategy, but internal logic and emotion insist that ignoring it is the worst possible response.
He got away with this all his life, because with his money, power, lawyers, he could. President's usually can't get away with this due to Congress. Well, that's all changed this term.

The problem is not Trump. The problem is Congress.

Venting about Trump is a worthless endeavor, whereas strategizing about Congress may actually bear some fruit. One chamber (the House) alone, stops Trump & his agenda and puts him under investigation, inquiry, and censure & correction.

that sounds like a **** system. perhaps we need to nationalize the primaries to keep political parties from cheating.

The problem is Trump. As is Congress, Fox News, Sinclair, and the fact that the human brain doesn't make decisions based on reason.

When we demonstrate to people that their beliefs are wrong using irrefutable evidence, their hold on their beliefs becomes stronger. We're able to convince ourselves that we remembered things that never happened. When Trump makes a statement that is a conspiracy theory, it must be true because we're talking about it. I have talked to people regularly on this forum who believe with all their heart that the Founding Fathers came up with the electoral college for the purpose of preventing city people from making decisions for rural people. When I point out that no such intent is expressed anywhere in any of the founding fathers' writings, they naturally conclude that I must be wrong because I'm the person who said it to them. In other words, we choose our tribes before we choose our beliefs.

We're walking around in 21st century clothing driving 21st century vehicles, and at the helm are brains that have barely evolved since we walked on the plains of the Serengetti over 300,000 years ago.

If Republicans had this problem, they'd change the system. Just. Like. That. Democrats, meanwhile, will lose, then we'll hold a commission that shows we were treated unfairly. And that will be our consolation prize while we're shut out of any decision making roles.

Just speculating, but I wonder the odds of running an independent (democrat) in the general election between the two republicans? There's a tremendous amount of cash flowing into this district.
Or maybe the voters will figure out the problem in the primary.

It is frustrating and disappointing that I am unable to convince more alleged liberal leaning participants in this forum that history informs us republicans are at least a century old, continuing
criminal conspiracy determined to undermine the constitution, rule of law, and the obligation of congress to sincerely perform their duty to provide for the general welfare.

Please wake up and accept that republicans appropriately earn (have long been begging for) the similar conditions (impediments) constructed to discourage membership in, and the ensuing power and influence increasing membership would bring to the CPUSA.

Watch what the Trump pox does to maneuver the mandated 2020 U.S. Census collection process to their maximum political advantage.

.....
Then, in 1920, the Republicans removed the Democrats from power as the Whigs had done in 1838, taking the presidency and both houses of Congress. Due to increased immigration and a large rural-to-urban shift in population from 1910 to 1920, the new Republican Congress refused to reapportion the House of Representatives with the traditional contiguous, single-member districts stipulations because such a reapportionment would have redistricted many House members out of their districts.[8][9] A reapportionment in 1921 in the traditional fashion would have increased the size of the House to 483 seats, but many members would have lost their seats due to the population shifts, and the House chamber did not have adequate seats for 483 members. The Reapportionment Act of 1929 did away with any mention of districts at all. This provided a solution to the problem of threatened incumbents by allowing the political parties in control of the state legislatures to draw districting lines at will and to elect some or all representatives at large.

1920 United States Census
The Fourteenth United States Census, conducted by the Census Bureau one month from January 5, 1920, determined the resident population of the United States to be 106,021,537, an increase of 15.0 percent over the 92,228,496 persons enumerated during the 1910 Census.

Despite the constitutional requirement that House seats be reapportioned to the states respective of their population every ten years according to the census, members of Congress failed to agree on a reapportionment plan following this census, and the distribution of seats from the 1910 census remained in effect until 1933. In 1929, Congress passed the Reapportionment Act of 1929 which provided for a permanent method of reapportionment and fixed the number of Representatives at 435.

Timid ostriches would prefer to believe the bold theft of the SCOTUS appointment that freezed out Obama appointee Garland is some departure from normal courtesy and respect.
History informs us the only thing we can expect of republicans is attempts at political domination by any means necessary.

IMO, you sir, see the big picture, not perfectly, but relatively accurately for what it is. That said, Democrats in recent years have not been far behind in selli8ng out to the almighty capitalist dolllar. Don't get me wrong, I'm kinda a believer in socialistic captalism, if that makes any sense? I believe some items belong only in the hands of goverment, and some private and never the twain should mix. At least, until a truly "resource based" economic system can be developed....

A cogent post tho, for sure, hat is off to you my good fellow!
