Trump Ends Historically Unpopular Presidency With 34% Approval

With the coverage lied into the public mind by the propagandistic media, I' surprised it's that high.

According to Rasmussen, he'a at about 48 which is in the range he's been at throughout the Presidency.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, Sponsored by SLANTED from Sharyl Attkisson, for Monday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.
NBC Poll: Trump Retains Overwhelming Republican Support, Overall Job Approval Steady Since Election

“Almost 9 in 10 Republicans — 87 percent — give Trump a thumbs-up”

The media has bombarded us with headlines that President Trump will leave office with his lowest approval rating (the number most often cited is Pew’s 29%). An interesting thing happens, however, when pollsters poll registered voters instead of whoever answers a phone.

Rasmussen, a polling outfit that polls likely—not just registered—voters, has Trump’s approval at 48%.

Here are just a few of the headlines that have popped up in recent days:
  • NY Times: “Trump will leave office with his lowest approval rating ever”
  • CNN: “Trump finishes with worst first term approval rating ever”
  • Axios: “Trump set to leave office with the lowest approval ratings of his presidency”
  • USA Today: “Trump leaves White House with his lowest-ever approval rating after Capitol riot, impeachment”

The goal of these these headlines, I suspect, is to imply that Trump has lost more support among Republicans than he really has.

According to an NBC News poll of registered voters, Trump’s approval is significantly higher than the Pew poll of “5,360 U.S. adults,” coming in at 43%.

In their article entitled “Trump approval remains stable in new NBC poll, with Republicans unmoved after Capitol violence,”
Trump’s standing among those outside the GOP remains similarly unchanged. He gets a positive job assessment from 44 percent of independents and just 5 percent of Democrats in the latest poll, shares that are also nearly identical to those in pre-election surveys.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, for Monday shows that 51% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance.
I see you are only willing to believe the one pollster that shows the story you want to see.

What a legacy; the world's biggest loser. If you're going to lose better make sure it's spectacular.

Trump is a pathologically spectacular loser. Everything is a showcase figure-8 destruction derby race set in the middle of the crowd. It's all about chaos, confusion, division and destruction all the way through. That's Trump.

Biden beat him like a drum without even campaigning and people are arguing about polls?
They desperately want to believe in a reality where rural culture isn't in the process of dying.

Just proof that there are a lot of incredibly stupid people in America!

They desperately want to believe in a reality where rural culture isn't in the process of dying.

Maybe in a few hours they'll figure out that if Trump had ever been popular, he'd been taking the oath again at noon instead of Biden. Instead he was one of the least popular (and least successful) leaders in the last century.

Or we will have crazy stuff like this

We can say with certainty that he will never be above the bottom 5.

His propaganda stained popularity seems to depart from his astonishing array of incredibly positive accomplishments.

This would make a thinking person wonder why the chasm existed between actual, real world facts and the propaganda gobbled up by the weak minded dupes.

I wonder how long it will take Sleepy Joe to get back to 3.5% unemployment with a 63+% participation rate.

Name this "astonishing array" of "incredibly positive" accomplishments, and I'll be happy to correct you on each and every one. The only dupe here is...I'll leave that for you to figure out.

That poll might be telling us more about flight from GOP Party affiliation more than anything else. It was down to 25% of the Electorate in December for God Sake, before all of this Insurrection mishegas. Gallop has not released the January numbers yet. I can't wait to see what it is down to now. In effect with that much flight from the GOP generally what is left is likely an odd mix of Qanon/Trump hardliners and a few GOP hardliners that simply do not want to jump ship to Independent status, borne with the R branded to their butts.

There have been various stories about people leaving BOTH political parties.

Not much to wonder about in this. It's similar to climbing out of toilet bowl in a diarrhea ward.

Sure, worst jobs record since Hoover, larger trade deficit than when he took office, 400,000 Americans dead from his botched pandemic response, uninsurance up, international influence at a nadir, wouldn't defend our troops when our enemies put bounties on their heads or our government when it suffered a massive cyberattack, broke the USPS, spurred his cult to sack the Capitol during his failed insurrection. Incredible!

Rasmussen does this polling daily. It's the only daily tracking poll there is.

It was about the same across the whole campaign process and was very accurate compared to actual election results. This is unlike the media shill polls that were somehow ridiculously inaccurate for all by the month before the election.

The reason I prefer Rasmussen is that it seems to be done by professionals with the only goal of being accurate.

The NBC poll you cite was routinely wrong showing biased against Trump with numbers proven wrong in the actual vote. Judging only by historical performance, it probably still is.

Your post reveals the impact of the propaganda to which you have fallen victim.

I wonder how quickly Biden will bring us back to 3.5% unemployment with a participation rate above 63%.

What was the unemployment rate when Trump took over? And what is Joe inheriting?

Rasmussen has a pro-gop bias whereas Harris and IBD were the most accurate in terms of the 2020 election according to this story:

If we look at 538 pollster ratings (538 was very close in both 2020 and 2016 with their model), then rasmussen ha a terrible rating.

Rasmussen was right in one election one time.

DEMS down to 31% of the electorate in the December numbers and steady. GOP down to 25% and falling. Independents up to 41%. Are you arguing that the numbers for January will be better for the GOP? Good luck with that.

Operation WARP Speed was initiated as the First wave was dying out. Vaccinations are being administered right now.

WOW!

You are a sad case of propaganda overdose.

Trump family polling is only 25%

What was the unemployment rate when Trump took over? And what is Joe inheriting?

Joe's inheriting a rapidly expanding economy. The DJIA closed at another all time record high yesterday. Makes another one we can thank Trump for providing.

Unemployment was 4.7 in January 2017. Same as it was in July 2007.

Unemployment rocketed up to 14.8 in April 2020 and had come down to 6.7 in December 2020. ALL of the Democrat-Socialist Governors worked mightily to keep their states shut down to hurt the Trump campaign.

The Democrat-Socialist stooges misled by the Democrat-Socialist propagandists failed to notice the concerted campaign to inflict misery on the people for bare political motives.

Not surprising in any way that you failed to know these facts.
