When rain grounded Marine One, the president didn’t hit the road because it would have disrupted traffic, says White House

Donald Trump didn’t attend an event honoring US military dead because he didn’t want to disrupt the traffic in Paris, the White House said on Sunday, as the fallout for his no-show on Saturday continued.

The US president had been scheduled to lay a wreath and observe a moment of silence at the Aisne-Marne American cemetery and memorial at Belleau, about 60 miles (100km) north-east of Paris. The White House cited rain that grounded the president’s helicopter for the cancellation.

Sanders, first assistant to the Liar-in-Chief, makes up stories to cover the Liar-in-Chief.

Said Winston Churchill's grandson, '“They died with their face to the foe and that pathetic inadequate @realDonaldTrump couldn’t even defy the weather to pay his respects to The Fallen #hesnotfittorepresenthisgreatcountry.”

Nicolas Burns, an American diplomat who served both Republican and Democratic presidents, called the choice “astonishing”.

Yeah, what the hell's the wrong with him, He should have demanded the France erect blockades and clear a motorcade path for him immediately. Obama would have! :lamo

Trump's respect for veterans was made dramatically clear with his treatment of Senator McCain during the primary race, and later following Senator McCain's death.

The only thing Trump cares about is the obligatory photo op. It wouldn't have looked presidential with him wearing a rain hoody.

Only Trumps most loyal mouth breathers could possibly buy such an excuse.

I think honestly, at the last minute, he just didn’t wanna be near Trudeau, Merkel and Macron.

In any case, once again I always hate the whole “if a Democrat had said this” or “if a republican had done that”

But many of the people excusing this are people who made fun of Obama and portrayed him as effeminate for doing things like riding a bike...

They would have skewered him alive for this.

Personally, I think he was worried that whatever orange nonsense he is putting on himself would wash away in the rain. Embarrassment in the making...

Fitting you brought him up in a thread about lying about ones ability to travel considering the lies he told about his travel abilities because of Trump

Obama's people would have had a contingency plan for rain. So would Trump's team as well. You know this rain bull**** is just that, bull****. Either that, either its just a bull**** excuse or the White House staff are so incompetent that they couldn't organize a dogfight in a Tijuana back alley.
Rain. Right. That'll stymie the crack team of exceptionals Trump has brought into his Camelot.
