Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump chastised his own intelligence officials Wednesday morning for being soft on Iran a day after they contradicted numerous administration claims of foreign policy success.

On Tuesday, the nation's top intelligence official, who was appointed by Trump, told Senate lawmakers that the US intelligence community does not believe Iran is currently undertaking "key activities" needed to produce a nuclear bomb -- an assessment at odds with longtime administration claims that Iran is an immediate nuclear threat.

The terrifying things to me are:

• It was, upon the end of the first GOP primary debate, patently clear Trump is a clueless waste of skin, yet people voted for him and gave him the GOP nomination.
• It was, by Oct. 2016, clear as the nose on one's face that he didn't know what he was talking about, yet enough people voted for him to win the general election.
• Despite all that, since January 2017, he's said/done illustrating he doesn't know what he's talking about, people yet support him.

Ignoramuses and idiots are what they are, and they periodically appear. They aren't intrinsically frightful. That materially large quantities of people don't recognize them as the loons they are is.

Remember, this is the president that does not read nor listen to his Daily Presidential Brief. But he'll lay in bed and watch Fox for hours on end.

That is probably the primary reason he is pissed. It takes all the air out of his border emergency threats.

And what makes the map credible above US intel agencies? I see the map is made by a IHS Markit which is a London based company formed in 2016. Now, tell me how you believe a company based in 2016 knows more than the US intel? Do give us specific reasoning as well.
