The Trump administration is ensnared in another border dispute — this time with Canada

Canadian manned lighthouse and flag on Machias Seal Island.

It's a shame Donald Trump has ruined such a close and mutually beneficial relationship.

We must immediately deploy our Lumberjack Commandos to the Island to dissuade an American invasion.

Yes, because a border spat over a rock means "ruining" a relationship. Hate to break it to you but there have been long standing border disputes on the West Coast between WA and BC over similar small rocks and islands. Things go about just fine.

I trust you have a TV or a mobile phone?

This island is the least of the many Trump/Canada problems.

So because Trudeau doesn't bend over backwards to please Trump he is the problem here?

Well the fact is Trudeau admires communist human rights abusers so free market leaders who believe in constitutionalism are people he can’t work with.

I mean actually it’s the other way around because Trump won’t just layover for Canadian abuse of tariffs against us.

What exactly is Canada abusing? Please cite specifics.

Citation?

:lamo Ya, we abuse you so badly that you guys enjoy a trade surplus with us, when goods and services are both considered, despite us being ~1/10th your population.

Trumpsters are so cute....

I wouldn't say he's ruined it. For the most part we're a reasonable group of people, and know how to put blame where blame belongs. It's not as if he campaigned on being as much of a pain in the ass to Canada as possible.

Now...if you guys reelect this maple syrup hating douche bag, we'll have a better idea where the rest of you stand...

I believe most here know exactly where I stand regarding Trumpkins :2razz:

The Canadian Army is now deploying their units to defend the island against a possible American invasion.

Plus several of our world class naval destroyers to patrol the area:

Ohferchristsake. Wotta crock. Get back to us when Trudeau leaves a G-7 summit to fly half-way around the world to legitimize Kim Jong-Un.
And Canadian 'abuse of tariffs' is all response to American tariffs. Are you one of those who thinks big, bad Canada has been taking America's lunch money for years? Who screwed up the negotiations, Reagan or Bush? Which one allowed America's pocket to be picked?

Did you know they have top secret cloaking technology, making them invisible to sight, radar, IR, and they leave no wake in the water

But Dairy

Canada puts massive tariffs on US subsidized milk, and that is not fair

Two things about that- the US dairy industry is so subsidized it would be unfair to allow it to dump it's over-production on the Canadian market and the US dairy factories feed a steroid to the cattle that's banned in Canada and Europe.
US milk is seen here much like Chinese steel is seen by you. An inferior product, government subsidized and over-produced and dumped on foreign markets.
Why is government subsidy of your dairy industry okay but the fact that Canadian lumber producers pay lower stumpage fees is seen as an unfair subsidy and the reason for import duties/tariffs?

Note I put US subsidized milk in my post (I know the US government provides a lot of money into the US ag industry to.

Second I am Canadian,

lol...no thanks. We'll wait until you put an adult in the WH.

You guys might want to go half on a wall?
Heard you got a little problem going on up there.
Since your guy in charge invited everybody in.
All the winners are heading your way now.
