Is Trump hurting his party by not fundraising for himself in the general election and other candidates down the line? PAC donors don't even know which of his super PACs to donate to and his campaign people don't, either. If Trump's campaign doesn't have the money, how can his campaign plan an effective national strategy for the general election? Or is Trump just going to keep doing what he did in the primaries and rely on free media for making outrageous comments and let the rest of the party be damned?

The closer the election gets the more Trump is realizing that he doesn't want to be President. He does not want to be caught with his pants down which is what would happen if he actually won. He's got what he wanted already....

I don't think he planned on his lawsuits going to trial. But now that they are...he wants to be president more than ever so he can have his AG, Trey Gowdy sue the judge and for the SCOTUS to investigate and prosecute him. Seriously. lol But....I digress because that's not what this thread about.

How many corporate advertising logos are going to be hoisted at the Republican Convention Center?

Calm

Donald Trump doesn't have enough money to run for office.

Think about that. There's bigger problems there than the GOP.

Why do I find myself laughing like a hyena?

But hey, he doesn't need us anyway. He's got his supporters. He could shoot you in Times Square and they'd still love him. Let them open their wallets now.

Trump has ran the bulk of his campaign off free media coverage, he will probably continue to do so seeing as it was effective enough to beat candidates who outspent him. Trump will only look at fundraising as serious when the media stops giving him free publicity, forcing him to run adds instead.

They keep saying that the primaries are not like the general election. In the primaries, Trumps only opposition were other candidates from his own party...now he has to face the full thrust of an opposing party that has been planning and fundraising and raised bazillions(?) to spend against him for over a year. So if he keeps alienating his own party and doesn't fund raise...he may have no choice but to do it all by himself. So if he decides to bow out (and I think he might)...he'll likely blame the RNC for not supporting him...and forget to mention that they relied on his campaign and his fundraising to do that.

Since Trumps attacks on the media and threatening lawsuits against them, I don't think they think he's as great as they used to. Yes, he might still get the coverage...but hopefully he'll be scrutinized, verified and countered more than he was during the primaries.

You are not understanding, he beat jeb bush, with nearly every gop diehard and ever rich person backing him, he beat cruz after kasich was considered doa and cruz recieved funding and help from the establishment at every turn as part of a anyone but trump campaign.

With all of them gone, trump is by himself on the gop side, the democrats have a war between bernie and hillary, but after one walks away from the convention, it will be one on one, and the media will report every single thing trump does, which trump has exploited to this day.

Some of them would love him more.

True, but consider also that as he becomes the nominee, his theater changes. It's sensationalism that the media has been eating up, and now that he's running in the general election, I'm not sure sensationalism is going to get him more voters than he has already. He obviously knows this, too--his New Jersey speech almost could have been written by Bernie Sanders.
