I am a sales manager. Been on for over 30 years. I sell stuff, people buy my stuff, I make money, customer is happy, everyone wins. I am also a liberal as defined by neanderthals. They call me and people like me communists or socialists as if I am not a capitalist. Well, lets get it right. I am a capitalist that gives a damn about other people which apparently makes me a communist or socialist. How do these two opposing ideas result in a person like myself?

Trump is running against “Medicare For All,” I E Bernie Sanders-backed socialized medicine.

He is not running against traditional Medicare.

He stood at the podium yesterday and told us that he was going to eliminate the payroll taxes. Since 100% of Medicare funding comes from payroll taxes, and Trump proposed no other way of paying for it other than some vague nonsense about the “general fund”

So, it would seem obvious to anyone with a brain, that repealing the payroll tax would be offset by increasing income taxes. Of course, this would shift 100% of the burden onto employees.

Either that, or do away with Medicare. I doubt that is what Trump is actually thinking.

I doubt that, because I’m pretty sure that the “general fund” that Trump referred to is some giant pot of limitless money that stays full without anyone having to put anything in it. Or, at least, that’s what it is in Trump’s mind. He was babbling yesterday, so it was hard not to think he was just talking out his hat again.

Which is about at Trump’s intellectual level. And that of many of his audience.
The other alternative, and the most likely one, is that Trump and his gang just made it up, hoping that it would fool the rubes, again.

There is really little difference between the two, except in the reaction by Democrats.

Trump is trying to do his deferral of payroll taxes by EO. The deferred taxes will be due on January 1. It's stupid stimulus as it amounts to a temporary loan from the IRS for a few months, repayable in full as soon as the deferral ends on December 31. So, yeah, there's a lot of difference in the two.

No, Harris would not be Bidens handler. That is way above her pay grade. If you watched her in the primaries, she doesnt quite know what she believes. FWIW, I voted for Hillary only because I could see the disaster that having an incompetent, lazy, corrupt, ignorant, narcissist who surrounded himself with a bunch of losers and thugs and ass kissing sycophants would be as President, and I was proved right about that within the first week of the Trump era.
