So, Trump wants to use weapons, and troops on protesters. As he says they are looters and arsonists. They arent, but at least it is not nutz. Trump also wants troops and police to use weapons on journalists. Trump wants to bash libs in the dark. Then call it fake, as he has bashed all the press from looking. Trump clearly WANTS to be dictator, the only thing left is, will his supporters use force, to bolster him. He thinks they will, and that they are just waiting for go.

The only thing that holds him back are the consequences and his cowardice.

It is very clear he would LOVE to have the power to do the worst his fellow dictators have done: to eliminate all critical press (kill them), eliminate all protests (kill them), eliminate all political opposition (kill them), for the people to have no say except to praise him.

That sounds extreme, but accurate. He pushes the envelope whenever he thinks he can get away with it. Siccing his mob at rallies on hating the press in attendance, he'd love to say 'now go kill them' but settles for hateful boos. He talks about jail and execution for the law enforcement officials who have told the truth about him. He makes threatening statements and orders assaults on peaceful protesters, now he does say the rubber bullets on a journalist are 'beautiful'.

Anyone who doesn't strongly oppose this dictator is an un-American traitor and enemy of the country and their fellow Americans. Anyone. It really does show how democracies with weak people can become tyrannical - it's this bad even with someone as much an incompetent boob as trump, and a third of the country falls for it.

Given time, trump really would move the country that direction, as, controlling the Justice Department with Bill Barr, he purged the Senate of the tiny bits of resistance by Republicans, and Democrats, and began to use terror for control over the American people with violence and roaming bands of trump thug supporters with state support. Luckily, that won't happen when he loses in a little over a month. This time.
