Trump approval ratings shoot up 5 points after SOTU

Yes I did. I then I thought about you my friend. So I had to give you more.
LOL, yeah the same old "Rasmussen sucks" mantras.

Were Rasmussen's inaccurate when they polled Obama?

Their electoral polls were fairly inaccurate under the Obama administration. Generally they favored the GOP.

I looked to see if this was true. So I looked at the final Rasmussen poll compared to the actual results for every race they submitted a poll in the last 2 weeks of the campaign since 2010. (All from RCP)

Errors in favor of GOP: 48

2010: (GCB, California-Sen, Nevada-Sen, West Virginia-Sen, Washington-Sen, Pennsylvania-Sen, Illinois-Sen, Colorado-Sen, Connecticut-Sen, Wisconsin-Sen, Kentucky-Sen, Alaska-Sen, California-Gov, New Hampshire-Gov, Colorado-Gov, Connecticut-Gov, Florida-Gov, Hawaii-Gov, Illinois-Gov, Massachusetts-Gov, Ohio-Gov, Oregon-Gov, Arizona-Gov, Georgia-Gov, New Mexico-Gov, South Carolina-Gov, Wisconsin-Gov.)
2012: (National-Pres, Nevada-Pres, Colorado-Pres, Iowa-Pres, Pennsylvania-Pres, New Hampshire-Pres, Michigan-Pres, Wisconsin-Pres, Ohio-Pres, Virginia-Pres, Minnesota-Pres, Wisconsin-Sen, Virginia-Sen, North Dakota-Sen, Nevada-Sen, Montana-Sen, Indiana-Sen, Washington-Gov, New Hampshire-Gov)
2016: (National-Pres)
2018: (GCB)

Errors in favor of Dems: 6

2010: (Missouri-Sen, Minnesota-Gov, Texas-Gov)
2012: (Arizona-Pres)
2013: (Virginia-Gov)
2014: (GCB)

If I rounded the polls off then there would be a couple ties such as 2016's national poll and 2012's Arizona Presidential poll.

Speaking of strangely silent I've been looking for polls on how Abrams rebuttal was received and what her viewership ratings were and have found neither.

No one wanted to listen to a whiny, wannabe Commie loser.

Where is the media's poll touting that and driving that very point home? There silence is telling

I hate polls, as you never get a rational questions that affect me

SOTU is largely a freebie and most Presidents get a bump right after. He did well for Trump, but he didn't exactly win over all the people he has alienated. It was well written and he kept to the script and delivered just fine. We'll see what happens when he steps away from the unanswered spotlight.

It seems like we're only a tweet away from "putting aside our differences" and "Crying Chuck Schumer". It's one of the many reasons I don't take Trump seriously. I think his unscripted communication is a far more accurate representation of his persona than anything in a crafted speech.

He definitely has no filter and a lot slips out. I don't know that it gives the whole picture or anything, but I do think it's more accurate than a canned speech.
