CP3 has only existed for 4 years and its role is to work with non-profits, local agencies, State agencies, and Federal agencies to fundraise and administer a grant program. It’s a nothingburger role so I don’t have a problem with this hire. Not everybody in the government hast to be older than god. The Democrats would do well to learn that lesson.

You don’t need 87 PhDs and a gazillion years of experience to fundraise and fill out grant paperwork. This is entry-level work with a fancy title.

You guys will just not admit it was a stupid pick and it's probably someone in trump's entourage who asked trump to appoint him, after all he has a degree from college and is cutting grass but wants to marry some Congress critters daughter.

This position isn’t “filling out grant paperwork”. It’s deciding where to send those grants. That’s not an entry level position.
 

If it is a "nothingburger" then why not just eliminate the agency? Look at the savings from reducing the federal govt. by 80 positions.

After all Trump is all about DOGE.

It is still a "lead" position, which requires some experience in the area of being able to lead a team of people. Can you point to where in his CV he has any experience doing this and in the sector he's been appointed to?
 
For those interested. imo, the 22 year old is not qualified.

It isn't. One would expect someone leading a group within DHS to have relevant experience, and this position is leading a group that manages an $18m budget. It seems a bit silly to have someone with no experience in either the work the group is doing, or managing large budgets. So I raise the question: how is this remotely a merit based hire?
