Trump Announces Troops Leaving Syria

It's funny how so far nobody has cared to explain the legal authority for US military aggression against Syria. Goodness, is it a conspiracy of silence?????

It just go to show that wars will not cease until Jesus comes back to put a stop to human wickedness.

If you know that to be true you don't ned to make an effort, do you. Just sit back, relax and wait for Jesus.

And now he shows he is as stupid as Obama...

No, more stupid. He could see how screwed up it became after Obama's blunder, yet he did it anyway.

Fear not, Trump's Washington has the answer as learned from history.

US quietly builds helipad on roof of embassy in Afghanistan

KABUL — The U.S. military has quietly built a helipad on the roof of its embassy in Afghanistan, sources confirmed today.

Black & Tuber, an industrial services corporation headquartered in Islamabad, won the contract for the project, which required a helicopter landing pad that could handle the weight of hundreds of helicopter landings and thousands of terrified refugees. It completed in record time compared to others recently built in Yemen, South Sudan and Ukraine, officials said.

“They worked on it 24/7,” said one Marine Security Guard. “We had to escort the local contractors around the clock, plus guard the suicide bomb vests we made them take off before each shift.”

When asked about the helipad by Duffel Blog, Ambassador John Bass claimed that it was a regularly-scheduled project. “I wouldn’t read too much into that,” Bass said while taking a break from packing his suitcase. “We’ll continue to muddle along for decades into the future.”

Just saying a tongue in cheek interpretation of course. We're still in Fourth Generation Warfare in Syria, Afghanistan, Africa among other locales and regions globally. That is, non-state combatants (backed by states of course) in a prolonged war of low intensity. We can either do what 4GW requires or just wait until we get blown up at home again. I share the view that we need to continue to do what's necessary, i.e., fight 'em over there so we don't get hit at their will over here. And quit having fast escapes.

I wonder if the frothy, spittle-flying YeeHaw conservatives who lied about Obama 'losing' Iraq and being responsible for creating ISIS will accuse Twump of the same.

I wonder the same. Didn't Trump say something like "don't announce what you are planning to do" during the campaign, and didn't he fault Obama for doing just that?
We don't know the reasoning behind the withdrawal. We can only assume, given how little info we are privy to, but it is puzzling.

I already did. It was a foolish (stupid) move when Obama did it, and it is still a foolish (stupid) move when Trump did it. It seems that both of them are relying on the same peacenik hack for advice.
