Trump reveals US-Pakistan partnership for oil development following Secretary of State Rubio's meeting last week with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

We have just concluded a Deal with the Country of Pakistan, whereby Pakistan and the United States will work together on developing their massive Oil Reserves," Trump said in a Truth Social post on Wednesday. "We are in the process of choosing the Oil Company that will lead this Partnership. Who knows, maybe they’ll be selling Oil to India some day!"

The announcement comes just days after Secretary of State Marco Rubio's Friday meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Following the meeting, Dar said a trade deal with the U.S. was "very close," but officials in Washington did not offer a timeline.

n the Wednesday Truth Social post, Trump also said that he was slated to meet with South Korean officials that afternoon to discuss.......

well, i saw it as badly planned, harmful tax increases that were used to justify tax decreases for people who dont need them, make us worse off, since he was talking about tariffs, not tax increases in general.

Choosing? Is there some bidding going on? Are American oil companies keen on this? If so what held them back up until now? Guess I'll have to wait for the announcement.......in probably two weeks.

My God when will they wake up to his lies and manipulation. The US and US companies are getting ZERO out of these deals..... ZERO .The promises are cut from whole cloth. Even the EU said that there is no way they could force corporations to deliver on the promises.
 
Headline might as well read "Trump Announces New Deflection". If it has already been said (I haven't read all the posts yet) that just amplifies the obviousness.

Here's something this liberal knows about taxes that the magatry can't get through their thick heads- every tax on business ends up on a price tag.
And a tariff is a tax on business.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I just want to remark. Every time you say that, the skull you are speaking at thickens and hardens. Just as when they say it about you. Sometimes someone has to be the first to take their hand away from the other's throat. We can't keep squeezing and survive. Not moralizing or telling anyone what to do or how to say, just trying to share my observations for successful communication.
