This article is very much worth a read. And it is by a conservative.

It only adds to the feeling that what Trump and Bannon and others are attempting to do is to go around the mainstream media and render it irrelevant - at least in the eyes of 30 or 40 or 50 million Americans who will simply do what a smaller number have long done - tune it out and find a comfortable right wing alternative that fails to challenge their beliefs.
 
Yep. We're already been getting closer to this all the time. Just look at Fox News and MSNBC. Yeah. Those two don't have an axe to grind. :roll:
 

Far left loones at politaco are somewhat correct that many if not most trump supporters no longer trust the mainstream media to tell them the truth

And respect/trust is difficult to regain once it is lost.

If I were a member of the corrupt and discredited media, I'd be inventing all sorts of tales in an effort to cling to some kind of audience.

This "alt" meme is a perfect example. Rather than take a step back to ponder the reason they committed ethical suicide, they step back into the same cesspool to keep their own stench flowing.

Fail to challenge their beliefs.

The mainstream media is already irrelevant. Trump got elected in spite of it's left bias. People are getting smarter.
 

About 1980 the mission dumb down America began and it's in full swing.

I think you missed the point. What you call left bias is simply reality. Its only the far right who sees reality as bias because it does not conform to their alternate reality. Thus - the alt right.

A NeverTrumper is part of the rejected establishment who used lies and deceit in an effort to elect Hillary Clinton. Add in the use of the "alt" meme, and there is nothing of substance from such a person to consider.

I actually don't know what a "conservative" is, so that label means nothing to me.

That the alt-right media is a thing. The truth is that the mainstream media destroyed their own credibility, and people stopped listening to them. People were not swayed by misinformation from the alt-right, they stopped being swayed by misinformation from the mainstream media, which the article linked in the OP acknowledges.
 

I think for the most part that is very true. The distrust of the media, which is valid, is what help bolster the alt-right. Granted, that has nothing to do with their own credibility which I believe is much worse than MSM.

Not so. Left wing bias is left wing bias, no matter how much you want to sugar coat it. Why do you think so many polls show that voters do not trust the media? The "mainstream" media makes up the majority of the media and voters have been waking up to the fact that the mainstream media slants their coverage to the left.

I may have to borrow that on occasion, as it well describes the left's own self-appointed self-importance in their own imagination.

If a poller asked me if I trust the media my vote would be NO. And I would have FOX NEWS in mind as the example.

So you cannot use polls like that to indicating one area of the media.

The guy is an establishment republican and labels himself a conservative. Nothing he has to say means squat to me.

But I'm telling you with all honesty, as I always do, I don't know what conservative means anymore. I don't know what any of the political labels mean anymore.

In this era of identity politics created by the left, these labels change all the time.

My disdain for the fool in the OP has nothing to do with what he claims his political identity is.
