So let me get this straight...not only are they lowering entry requirements, they are going to cut their training time by more than half?

MAGA is a joke.
 

They don't want professional law enforcement - that's the point. Fewer civil servants taking an oath to the Constitution and more Derek Chauvins. That's tomorrow's FBI.

It's good to know that low IQ people have many more options, like becoming an ICE or FBI agent under Trump.
 
The United States presidency, with the aid and abetment of the US congressional and Supreme Court majority, is in a race toward building a truly authoritarian state, and they're doing it before voters can realize how bad they're getting ****ed by MAGA's economy and before they can do anything about it at the ballot box next November and in November in 2028. There will still be elections because MAGA needs some sort of validation for whatever it is they're doing. I don't expect elections to be canceled. I expect voters to be canceled - lots and lots of them.

I mean, being an overseer on the plantation and fugitive slave bounty hunter were pretty much the jobs for lower class whites to have. They could still be better than somebody.

Yes, but more specifically, they want loyalists. They want enforcers for the regime. They'll be part of local-federal task forces. They'll be a regular presence on the streets of blue cities, not going after terrorists or racketeers but going after crimes committed by those people. If nothing else, it's to show off in front of the cultists sitting at home unemployed thanks to Trump's trashed economy, looking for someone to rage at while watching MAGA TV. Yeah! Yeah! Stick it to tha libz!!!

8 weeks of training. I needed to take six months of pre-apprenticeship training before I could do an apprenticeship as an Ironworker. An FBI agent needs a fraction of that now.

I’m old enough to remember that FBI agents weren’t even considered unless they held degrees in either accounting or law.
 
Couldn't get into university? Join the FBI! Start training tomorrow, become an agent by mid-October.
It's not a profession anymore, it's a trade. It's not even enlistment- US Army basic training takes 10 weeks, the FBI is only 8.

Takes 10 weeks of basic training to become a private in the US Army but the same guy could be an FBI agent in 8.
