I don't use it either. Twitter can take down tweets in some cases, I was just referring to the requirement that each administration is responsible for maintaining 100% of presidential documents.

Actually, that is the it has worked since television was a thing. The statisticians in the media organizations call the election, both sides realize its a done deal. The loser graciously concedes. The winner enjoys a victory speech. They get to work the next day to start the transition. No one waits for the certification nor the electoral college (which is in December), because those activities are nothing by formalities.

Yes, the media calling it does not make it official; but is the way it has been done for 70 years. Both sides have understood this and respected it, because at its root is math (its science). The loser is mathematically eliminated in the same way that the winner of a division in baseball or football wins the crown because its impossible for the loser to catch up, yet there are still games to be played. I am sorry you did not understand how our actually worked, but I was happy to school you. Now you know.

The 2020 elections actually could have been called much sooner. They pretty much knew on Friday the victor. I am not certain why Georgia has yet to be called, as there are not enough votes to Trump to catch Biden there. If anything, the networks have been uncharacteristically conservative this time around.

The 2016 election wasn't contested because the loser was an adult and followed the conventions discussed above. The 2016 election was decided by 77,000 votes in three states. It was much tighter than this one, but, then again, the loser was an adult and could deal with reality.
