Trump - Abortion

Trump should state outright that

  • he'd reverse Roe V Wade

  • he'd leave RvW alone

  • he's pandering to largest voting base

  • he's lying

Trump should say outright that he's lying? That'll be the day.
 
Any candidate claiming they can reverse Roe v Wade would be lying and it would mean an instant firestorm, which is why most don't come out and say that. They'll state their views on abortion in order to fire up the base but it's empty rhetoric and they should really be discussing other matters.
 
He has no command of the issues. He lacks the respect for office, for the American people and for himself sufficient to do the work to do this job. We haven't had someone this ill-prepared to be President since Sarah Palin (who, curiously endorsed her brother in preparation).

The only way he could lose his supporters is if he got up in front of the camera and promised to return order, stability and decorum to Washington.

Oh who the ****s cares what he actually thinks about abortion. I honestly doubt he's gone a day in his life thinking about it one way or the other. Well, correction: he probably only really thought about it for the first time this last week when he put his foot in his mouth with the "women should be punished" statement.

I don't think he has much of a personal position. He's trying to triangulate a supporter-friendly position, but instead of doing it behind closed doors with his advisors, he's doing it on the public stage in real-time. Sloppy work, that.

Do you think Hillary is a liar? What is the difference between Trump (stupid comments) and Hillary (out right lies) when it comes to the two front runners? Nothing but your naive political views and gullibility to those political views or comments.

She did not run for President. However, the standard of someone running for VP is that they are prepared to be President. Sarah, like Donald, is (was, in Sarah's case) ill-prepared for such office.

No - it's a personality cult. They'd think he was being magnanimous and proving that he could be Presidential. Then they'd demand that we all pretend we'd never seen the way he'd been acting for the past year or so.

I'm not sure what a personality cult is, exactly, and I'm always a little skeptical of the phrase. It tends to be bandied about rather casually and applied to anyone who votes for "the other guy." I for example appear to be in a "personality cult" because I voted for Obama. Regardless, your conclusion is undoubtedly correct.
 
He said "it's complicated" and that the press would twist his words: interpretation...I'm saying nothing so that you can just project onto me whatever you need to.

She was the governor of Alaska...what political office has Trump held? I smell a political agenda in your comment.

My comment was not about their respective resumes, but about how unprepared each was for the position. They each have shown themselves to be intellectually lazy with no command of the issues.

But, since you brought it up, being governor of Alaska isn't much of a credential. Its population is about that of Memphis, TN. It has more bears, moose and salmon than people. The position is essentially more a glorified park ranger. Let us also point out that she didn't have what it takes to even fulfill the term, so she gets no credit for even being the governor, as apparently the job was too much for her. The Donald, at least, has a real resume.

Man I have to laugh at your post....Donald has a resume? Absolutely priceless!
I have been to Alaska at least five times and it is just as American as Memphis,.... actually maybe more so...at least I think it is as I have never been to Memphis to be able to compare. Alaska even has McDonald's.....wow..how civilized is that?
I think you location ...Rocky Mtn High is quite appropriate in your case.

Trump is saying what ever he thinks will get him votes. His pro-life position is nothing more than a lie. Trump is pro-life like Bernie Sanders loves capitalism and thinks socialism is evil. Anyone who is actually pro-life does not want elective abortion legal and would never want to appoint a pro-abortion extremist like Trump's sister to the supreme court. Anyone who thinks Trump is pro-life should stay away from people selling deeds to the Brooklyn Bridge and ocean front property in Arizona.

Did you understand a single thing I said?

1) I did not say Alaska was not American (nor uncivilized), I said it was comparable in size (population) to the City of Memphis. Being governor of a state with so few citizens is somewhat comparable in job complexity to being mayor of a smaller - big city (I will concede that it not exactly comparable....but Alaska ain't New York or Ohio)

2) Sarah really gets very little credit for even being governor since she apparently could not handle the job and quit 2 years into it (with about a quarter of her tenure was spend running for VP).

3) Like the Donald or not, he has a much better track record of accomplishment than Sarah, who has accomplished very little...

4) Sarah and the Donald have one thing in common in that they are both apparently intellectually lazy as neither has much in the way of command of the issues. They each populists that spout off trite sentences that have little thought behind them (agreed that such is but my humble opinion, but its an opinion that is more mainstream than not, which would be to believe that Sarah and the Donald actually know much about the world).
