• NYC is 111th in violent crime
• Portland is 116th
• Seattle is 82nd

Clearly trump does not want to send his thugs to cities such as St. Louis where violence is actually a problem. Wouldn't fit his narrative.

In an odd juxtaposition, while whining that the Defund the Police movement is ill advised the Trump administration now threatens to DEFUND THE POLICE. The Defund the Police movement was always a poor choice of language as its proponents did not actually mean Defund the Police. However the Trump administration actually means to DEFUND THE POLICE.
