After a short marriage Elon and Trump are now officially separated. Their divorce is showing the early signs of a public spectacle with 2 people who can not control the words that come out of their mouths. Trump is obviously going to retaliate against Trump. He has to. This too, he can not control.
So the question as is. Will Trump retaliate by revoking South African refugee status for the few that accepted it? Or will Trump simply make things harder for Tesla and SpaceX? And how will Elon retaliate?
Joey
Ha. It would be hilarious to see a bunch of white supremacist South African farmers who thought they had easy entree into the United States be ordered by Trump to be sent to an El Salvadoran Super-Max prison in retaliation against Musk. At least the lawless cruelty would be spread around a mite more evenly.
Hey Felis,
Hadn't thought of El Salvador! Great idea. lol.
Now I do disagree with the refugee status those few South African have been given. But they now are at actual risk of them being denied a stay in the US. And that is not fair either I think. Let's hope they're not gonna be used as pawns. Again...

Hold that thought. I'll come back to it.After a short marriage Elon and Trump are now officially separated. Their divorce is showing the early signs of a public spectacle with 2 people who can not control the words that come out of their mouths.
It's all been talk. No action. And now, it's over.Trump is obviously going to retaliate against Elon. He has to. This too, he can not control.

Okay. Back to that first point.Joey
If it was a business deal, what did musk get for his quarter of a billion dollars? Who cares what you want to call it, trump and musk are attacking each other. Spin that.Hold that thought. I'll come back to it.

Musk got his talking to from his Tech Bros and he's going to drop the "outrageous rhetoric" operation.
Phone calls from the Tesla Board, Peter Thiel and especially Larry Ellison, tend to change things.Remember, Bill Ackman is the billionaire who constructed the SPARC (special purpose acquisition rights company) to save Elon Musk and Twitter financially, before Larry Ellison (Oracle) stepped in.Elon Musk also walked back from his threat to decommission the Dragon spacecraft {link}.Sea Island hit the MAGA anvil, but it didn’t split. They’ll be back.Once Again Elon Musk Begins a Strategic Retreat - The Last Refuge

Okay. Back to that first point.
Their relationship has never been a "marriage". It was a "business deal". The deal concluded with both parties complying with the terms of the deal and both going their separate ways.
So, sorry Joey, this isn't a broken marriage where one spouse, feeling hurt or betrayed, is publicly attacking the other spouse. Your analogy is a failure.

I already explained the reality and your analogy doesn't fit.Hi Mycroft,
The marriage was a reference to the relationship they had. Call it what you want to, but that relationship is now broken. They can do that nicely or ugly. They have decided to go the ugly path. I think the analogy stands. Maybe I have too much fantasy, but if you not see that or want to see that, than that is just fine.
