Ahhh yes....... a time much more simple. If ONLY......
Well here is your chance to say it! What time would YOU like to exist now? And WHY???!

I would go to the future where it is surely better.

The future is where it's at!

(Unless it sucks, then I just keep traveling back in time to stay away from the crappy future)

I don't want to go back. We've been progressing all through history, why would I want to go back to a time with less scientific knowledge, more disease and shorter lifespans? I'd rather go to a future with even more scientific knowledge and where cancer and other terminal diseases are hopefully no longer a problem. History fascinates me and there are many eras I would love to experience first hand, but I wouldn't ever want to stay there permanently.

Exactly. If we know one thing, its that as time goes on, life seems to get better.

I woulddn't go back in time at all. Before 1950 the conditions were miserable, people had to work long hours for miserable pay. I don't want to go back to 1950-80 because that was a very bad time being a fiscal conservative, especially outside the US. Actually, before 1950 people were quite left wing as well. Hitler beat the marxists and social democrats, but very few remember that Hitler himself was a socialist and wanted to abolish all sorts of income other than labour income. There was no right wing party. The society has been moving forward. I think we are living at the peak right now, because in the future we will be forced to reduce the oil consumption, asia is getting stronger, and Europe is slowly killing themselves.

I would live only in the present. That said I would like to visit other periods of time.

I wouldn't mind visiting the past or future, but I'm OK with the present.

If I could visit the past, I'd visit during the 1940's era - but not for any respectable or admirable reason - only because I loved the 'style' that whole decade brought. Where men dressed like gentlemen and women dressed as ladies... the fashion statement to me was - class! Perhaps I'm just nostalgic because of my obsession with old movies, but that is definitely a time I'd like to visit. :)

I would definitely visit the 80s, as I loved the style from that era.

as women, why would any of us want to back?

Earlier than what the choices allow for. I'd go back to 300 BC or so and hang with the druids of Gaul. But I would most like to be a part of Egypt when it was at it's peak - roughly around 1500 - 1200 BC, in between the 2nd and 3rd Intermediate periods.

Either in the future, where I can be a space nomad, having all sorts of cool adventures or in the past, being a nomad having all sorts of cool land based adventures.

I would choose the future as health technology is likely far better. Being more healthy makes like more worth living.

I'd go into the future, get all the supa-doopa technology, then go into the past and set myself up as a god.

Personally, I would hate to have that much responsibility. I would probably drive myself crazy by blaming myself when ever bad things happened to those I was in charge of.

That's what the supa-doopa future technology does, so life is perfect for all.

I suppose it could be interesting to start an engineer school with this technology to teach the people how it all works and how to invent more as they please. It would ruin the godhood thing, but it would be nice to see people prosper.

And i suppose you'd have them sacrifice leeks, rather than virgins? You take all the fun out of being a god.
