There is no transgender lobby or political faction because trans people do not all have the same political beliefs. The only political idea is for equal rights but that is the same for the larger LGBT community. They, just like women and racial minorities want the same rights that white heterosexual males have enjoyed for the past 200+ years.

A penis or vagina is part of the biological body that is incongruent with their female or male gender identity. This is what males then transgender. Trans females want functional female reproductive organ just as trans males want fully functional male reproductive organs. That is what the surgery does, as much as medical technology will allow. They are disgusted by their birth gender./body and that disgust manifests itself in gender dysphoria which if untreated can lead to them committing suicide. Trans people very often suffer from social anxiety, anxiety disorders and depression, to the point that the existence of those mental illness are often part of the diagnosis. Alcoholism, substance abuse and PTSD are very common in adult trans people because of what they have suffered, both at home, in the denial of care and abuse/assault by larger society.

Is it diofficult youi to accept or understand that the gender of the person can be different from the biology that you initially see. Do you feel threatened by that possibility?
