Transcript: Webb says Bush took U.S. to war 'recklessly' - CNN.com

I don't really care, I just wanted people to see this. The caption under his picture, unless it has been changed, reads:

"Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, whose son is serving in Vietnam, beat Republican George Allen in November's elections."

You get that? Apparently Webb's son has traveled back in time to serve in Vietnam. That's dedication people.

On NBC they also introduced Webb as the Republican Senator from VA.

He stuttered more than Bush in that speech, I was laughing.

I like how the dems are trying to appear moderate now: "we will show him the way". Yeah ok hah.

With regard to the thread, yes I would say that Webb was correct in his assumption.
With regard to why this thread was posted, News media frequently get things wrong, but one could assume that the politician in the picture would have needed to have okayed the picture prior to allowing it to be used.

Vietnam / Iraq, not much difference between the two as to the eventual outcome. I do say this regretfully.
IMO the strategy that is currently taking place should have been utilised over 3 years ago.
You take, hold, then continue to oversee these area's.

Webb also told the Air America/Randi Rhodes lie that the majority of the military doesn’t support the effort. Michael Yon, blogging from Irag, disagrees:

". . . This war is strange. I never hear soldiers worried about their own morale sagging. Contrary, the war-fighters here are more concerned to bolster the morale of the people at home. . . . The morale at war is higher than I have ever seen it at home; makes me wonder what they know that most Americans seem to be missing."

***Refresh our memories. Were the Democrats in Congress any more willing to support a troop increase 3 years ago--then they are to support the increase today?
