***LOL...I opened up those links and found you challenging me to debate, but again you were short on specifics. Was there a specific debate topic in either of those links? One link suggested that I present the topic. How many times do I have to tell you that all my debatable topic are upstairs where they belong? While you are obviously rather slow in getting the message, I will still entertain the notion of debating you down here in the despair basement, if I see you present a topic worthy of comment for my political expertise.

Careful everybody...galen is lurking out there ready to make his "you are all all STILL losers by picking on the retard" statement... just thought that I would warn you of the impending doom. :shock:

The current use of Fossil Fuels to power economic growth in this country has become a strain on both the political, and environmental future. Though our need to procure more resources, we as a country have allowed ourselves to be compromised in our Moral standing within the world, and spent enormous resource capital in the search for continued supply. With the alleged impact Byproducts of this source of enegy have on the Planet, and the side effects of gaining access to the fuels (both in Human life,and economic waste), I feel the time has come to move swiftly away from the technology, in favor of more benign sources of power.
The use of Nuclear Power has its drawbacks as well, though the political and international impacts are lessened when domestic resources are used. It can be argued that merely by making an 80 Billion Dollar War unneccessary,cost savings in this venture would be well worth the disposal of waste product needed to make viable this alternative. Added to this would be the advances in technology over the years which can significantly lower the radioactive waste coming as a result of its use.
Renweable resources added to this changeover would be minimal at first, but have the benefit of carrying little or no Impact on the environment as a whole. Though small in comparison to the generation power of Nuclear technology, the future is open to many of these forms of enegy production as they are in an infant stage of developement. If the United States used its most important, and indeed "Best" tool...Its ability to be inovative and create, We could again become the economic powerhouse of the world, while eliminating the number one issue going into the next century, Energy Production.

That may well be, but he's right. I, on the other hand, understand your need, and I mean need, to practice these skills on someone you can get by with it on. After you all get good at picking on kid, the next logical step is your little sister. Then maybe Navy or champs, then your heads get all swollen, you think you're someone, and you gun for me, it gets ugly, you cry, I laugh, many others laugh, then you go back to stealing and torturing your little sisters Barbie's when she's not looking and I get on with winning a Nobel Prize.

I've really been too lenient lately. I see this little "gang" you guys got going here. But then you all are like pirates with forks instead of swords. With corks on your forks. Which is good, because that eye patch goes well with the pirate forks. And the corks keep the eye patches from turning into what would really be blindfolds. But then I would get to start some freak version of Basement "Marco Polo". Ah the joys of being Warden.

I'm ripping entire web sites from post one, they all get clannish, try coming back, can't then ban me or close my threads usually citing some rule that says they can in the end do what they want for no good reason. go look around. I just started letting this out. Go google "Marchimedes" if you want to see me vs. thousands and win. So yea, I shouldn't talk about you guys picking on kid. Let see if you can learn from this. The laser pointer, classic original insult, yet possibly within your reach of coming up with. Same with pirate forks. Here are a couple of paths toward energy efficiency I would take if I were Bush.

Invest in our farmers (agriculture) toward the production and processing of energy crops. Give financial incentives to farmers so that they would grow energy crops, with an added benefit to own or share ownership of refineries so as to help ease the financial burden of producing biofuels.

Our transportation sector should take on a gradual transfer policy stating that all new automobiles (say built from Jan 1st 2007 onward) be fueled by high blends of gasoline biofuels or flex fuels, or a hybrid of both. Tax incentives could also go out to all gas stations that have installed these biofuel pumps. An added bonus to this type of plan would be the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions with this cleaner fuel.

I admit that we are currently hopelessly addicted to oil. But we were once addicted to coal, and thus this opportunity to change our energy direction should be implemented as soon as possible. Methinks the chances of Bush pushing for these type of changes (that he spoke of so eloquently in his state of the union speech) have unfortunately taken a back seat due to the threat of worldwide terror. Nonetheless, his ideas/vision on this energy issue were right on the money. The energy mission may only get to be carried out if we as Americans vote in another Republican come 2008.

Liberals and Democrats have blocked all attempts to drill in Anwar, and to build or update our presnt refineries. One bit of good news is that they recently found some untapped oil reserves in the Gulf of Mexico. I know the liberals had always cried 'environment destruction or save the wildlife' when we attempted to drill offshore or onshore in the past. I doubt they'll have any say in this latest find in the Gulf. Just another reason why we need to keep Republicans in office.
 
Something both of you left out was modifications to existing cars.
Would that be the best way to address the car masses and lower our need for oil in a shorter term?

I for one cant really afford to run out and buy a Hybrid

***Unfortunately, just like the theme behind Bush's privatizing part of Social Security; those already receiving Social Security will have been grandfathered into the old system. Its the new Social Security recipients of the future that would have the option of seeing their SS tax monies grow by investing in the stock market. Same goes for these hybrid autos; when the time comes (say 2007) the new car owner will have an added financial incentive to purchase an auto that meets the energy saving standards as laid out in the plan. He or she will also have the option to buy or keep an antique gas-guzzling SUV if they like. I like to think that those opting for the latter are pro choice liberals. LOL!

That point is abundantly clear, as it comes across in almost every post you have made. My hope in this thread, and indeed this entire excersize in getting you here, is to try to get you to focus more on debate than debasing. You are not a stupid man, and the endless ridicule your Liberal attacks bring about must be getting old,I feel that by changing this tactic, you might enjoy the site more, and become more involved in the actual discussions taking place.
Please take it as a compliment on your abilities that I have bothered to take this approach, as you are not a Chesswarsnow, nor an Uncle....you do have redeeming qualities that I hope come to the forefront at DP. When you decide to, I have seen intellegent and well thought out replies come out of that mind.....I simply hope to see more of them.
