Top Biden Aides Cashed in On Wall Street After Obama Service

Was there a criminal act involved with this?

Look at all these communists!!!

Equity firms are the cushy postings where elites are sent to work. They don't have to toil like the rest of us.

They want to keep their cushy privileges, even while the rest of society crumbles out from under them.

And if we object, they'll label us all 'white supremacists'.

What is your proposed solution?

Honest to God I was hoping for a legit source before I opened this.

I'm glad it was but I don't understand the story. People need work after government job. Everyone uses their title to get a better position.

No difference from former white house staffers.

Except that the Trump people aren’t really all that employable. It isn’t as if they built any bridges during their time.

Despite the pro-poor image of Democrats, they are anything but poor (ie. they're just milking the poor):

Okay...so a few former government employees went on to work in the private sector and made lots of money before returning to government employment and vise versa. What's your point? Why is this a problem? It's not as if they scammed people or were lobbyist first.

I don't find anything in this story to be at all concerning.
Nor do I, but some folks seem to think there's hypocrisy in their employment and/or prospects, i.e., going from working for the government to working for the private sector and back again OR coming from the private sector and working for the government which happens all the time.

I'd be more concerned IF any of them were lobbyist first and now work in a department of government where they'd have significant influence or that the government was hiring crooks than being overtly concerned about people who made an honest living in the private sector and decided to work for the government when asked to serve a higher calling.

I don’t find that surprising, but I do wonder what a national security advisor learned in that role to make him valuable to a private equity firm.
The same thing that qualified him to be the national security advisor is the same thing that made him valuable in the private sector.

All your OP proves is that Ivy league alumni get the highest paying jobs in the private sector and high positions in government....which is true regardless of party affiliation.

I think the ownership of Enbridge stock is a bit sketchy, since pipelines are and have been a political issue for a while. Otherwise, I agree that there isn't much to see here.

Some of those posts remind me of the old joke which (reworked slightly) turns into

Oh look, a -Castle- Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->Oh look, a Commie -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ...

and gives a good indication of the level of mental functioning of the people making them.

Oh come ON now - there is always a market for unprincipled sycophants.

Yes more concerning but it's clear lobbyists and government are conjoined twins. It doesn't matter how much a politician says they will not employ lobbyists, they do. I generally thought myself cynical in the past but now I'm convinced it's just reality and we have to deal with it.

Are democrats supposed to be extremist leftists that want to destroy capitalism and impose socialism and government control on people? Or are they capitalists who are using their connections from their past government work to make a profit? Who can help square this circle?
Both, of course.

The conflict inherent in that doesn't matter, since people believe it.

Despite the pro-poor image of Democrats, they are anything but poor (ie. they're just milking the poor):

Heck, how many penned multi-million dollar deals with Netflix? Obama's cabal went on to cash in, and YAY capitalism. But anyone who worked in Trump's administration must be rendered penniless.
